Multan Sultans have won nine out of the ten matches they have played in PSL 2022 so far. They have been brilliant with both the bat and ball so far. Two of their batsmen (Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan) feature in the top-3 run-scorers of PSL 2022 while Tim David leads the six-hitting charts.
They also have Rilee Rossouw and Khushdil Shah in their lineups who have been brilliant at accelerating during the death overs and ensuring that the Multan Sultans are never short of runs.
Anything can happen if you just take one match as an example but there is no doubt that the Multan Sultans have more depth and power in their batting lineup than the Lahore Qalandars.
The Multan Sultans don't have a weak bowling attack but it is not the strongest that we have seen in PSL 2022. Imran Tahir and David Willey have had some excellent matches but Shahnawaz Dahani and Rumman Raees have had a forgettable PSL.
Interestingly, the slow wicket could play right into the hands of someone like Khushdil Shah who has been picking wickets with ease throughout the season!
Multan Sultans are the defending champions and have a 90% win rate in PSL 2022. We think they are available for a very good price right now and you should take advantage of that.

The Lahore Qalandars are the only team to have defeated the Multan Sultans this season. The question now is whether they can beat them again. There are a couple of things that go against the Lahore Qalandars. The first is that the Lahore Qalandars have lost two out of their most recent three matches and the second is their dependence on Fakhar Zaman with the bat.
Fakhar Zaman is head and shoulders above everyone else and is the top run-scorer of PSL 2022. However,m if he gets out then the team could be in a lot of trouble. Harry Brook has played brilliantly in a couple of matches and we know what Phil Salt is capable of, however, the conditions are not to their liking.
We believe if Fakhar Zaman gets out cheaply, then the Lahore Qalandars are going to struggle to compete.
Rashid Khan has left the PSL to join Afghanistan's national team and that is another big loss in terms of team strength. The Qalandars have brought in Fawad Ahmed but he is nowhere close to being the same kind of threat.
Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf can never be counted out and they will end up shouldering the bulk of the responsibility with the ball.
The danger that the Lahore Qalandars pose is just incredible but we don't think the odds justify the risk that you would have to take by betting on them.

The conditions in Lahore are excellent for cricket. There is no rain predicted on match day and we know that the pitch is not going to change much. The groundsman had one day in between to work on the pitch so it could be a bit better to bat on, however, it is not possible to change the nature of the pitch in such a short time.
The bounce is low and it could be difficult to score once the ball gets a bit old.
We think a score of around 170 should be seen as par.
