London Spirit continues to look for its first victory of the Hundred 2021 season as it lost a match that was in the bag in its previous outing. The Northern Superchargers are also near the bottom end of the standings with just one win to their name so far. The difference on paper between the teams is not much, however, the current form of their senior players is quite different.

London Spirit will be very disappointed at having lost the previous match. The team just choked under pressure and wasted a fantastic start by its openers. Adam Rossington and Josh Inglis got some runs and batted at a very good strike rate. Rossington and Inglis are good batsmen to back to hit a six in this match.
The problem was once more the rest of the batting lineup. Not a single player apart from the openers got into double figures. Joe Denly, Eoin Morgan, Ravi Bopara, and Mohammad Nabi failed to get any sort of momentum going their way and ended up four runs short in the end.
This is not a batting lineup that we have any sort of faith in at the moment.
The bowling has been very poor as well. Mohammad Amir is just not a strike bowler anymore. He can be good to try and stop some runs but he does not seem to pick up many wickets nowadays. Blake Cullen, Chris Wood, Mohammad Nabi, and Roelof van der Merwe are good bowlers but neither of them is likely to run through teams or give them sleepless nights.

The Northern Superchargers picked up their first win of the season thanks to some runs from Chris Lynn and Harry Brook. Lynn is a form player and can get on some terrific scoring sprees once he gets set. To be clear, his inning of 48 from 48 deliveries was not fluent or spectacular but it did give him some important time in the middle that could be important.
Adam Lyth, David Willey, and Harry Brook (the best batsman for the Northern Superchargers) are an excellent set of batters to have in the team. Dane Vilas and John Simspn can bat very freely as well.
Adil Rashid and David Willey lead the bowling attack with support from Brydon Carse and Mujeeb ur Rahman. On pitches that are starting to slow down and turn a little, Rashid and Mujeeb can be handful aginst any team.

The team that wins the toss is likely to want to bat first. Men are playing the second match on every surface and that is obviously affecting the decision to bat first.

The conditions are a bit wet in London and quite a bit of rain is expected. however, the weather can be quite fickle in London and we can still hope for some luck to get a result in. The surface is going to be flat and good for batting but it will slow down and start to turn a little by the time the second inning comes around. The team that bats second could have a tough task of chasing down even a par total.
