Alright then. We are just one step away from getting our four semifinalists with quarter-finals to be done and dusted in some time. Koln CC are all set to take on VFB Gelsenkirchen in the fourth quarter-final of the series, the result of which will decide the final picture of seminfinalists. Both sides did pretty well in the group stage and will be raring to go in this knockout contest. The match will be played at Bayer Uerdingen Cricket Ground, Krefeld on 28th May 2021.
Koln CC were arguably one of the best side of their group even though they didn't finish at the top of the ladder. They finished at the second spot with 11 points to their name and a net run-rate of 0.909. What's more remarkable is that they haven't lost any match, as far as their last five matches are concerned.
With young players who are also rich in experience already, Koln CC have an excellent amalgamation of youth and experience. Irfan Ahmed was terrific in the group stage and will need to play a vital role in the upcoming contest as well. Apart from him, a lot will depend on Tejas Morbagal, Asmdin Zadran, and Sandheep Ravishankar. If all works out for Koln CC, beating them is going to be incredibly difficult.

VfB finished at the third spot in the Group A points table, but they didn't really perform the way they would have wanted to. Their poor net run rate of -0.629 exhibits that they were far from dominant in their group. Having only one win in their last five matches, VG will be desperate to get some momentum going for them.
While they have plenty of talent available at their disposal, they certainly lack the services of players who have played at the highest level. Their batsmen, as well as bowlers, showed brilliant skills in the group stage, but those moments were too far too few. They have some talented players in Sulimna Hugakhil, Shahidullah Arman, Swapnil Varhade, and Sahalom Dhaly who all will need to be at their best in the upcoming contest. If those players can deliver, VfB Gelsenkirchen will certainly stand a decent chance.
