The excitement was at its peak in the first knock-out stage of the ECS Germany Krefeld T10 2021 as we saw four tightly contested matches. We also saw the first tie of the tournament with Bayer Uerdingen Wolves eventually going through to the semi-final. They are now set to face Bonn Blue Star in the first semi-final of the tournament, which promises to be yet another exciting match.
Both sides have played to their strength so far and should make up for a super-interesting contest. The match will be played at Bayer Uerdingen Cricket Ground, Krefeld on 29th May 2021.
Bayer Uerdingen Wolves are one of the newest sides in the German cricketing circuit and they have certainly impressed one and all with their talent, composure, and grit in the tournament so far. They may have finished fourth on the points table but were far better than that. They had a decent, which tells that they were net positive.
The highlight of their group stage campaign was their win over Dusseldorf Blackcaps, who were undoubtedly the best side of the tournament. They managed to tie the match before eventually defeating Dusseldorf Blackcaps in the golden ball stage.
The fact that they defeated the best team of Group B in the semi-final would certainly brim them with tons of confidence. So far in the tournament, Aritharan Vaseekaran has played a vital role for and will continue to be a key man for them. Apart from him, the likes of Kumar Mahendran, Thinesh Rajakulasingam, and Pakeetharan Praba could prove to be dangerous players to deal with.
All in all Bayer Burdingen Boosters have done well to qualify to the semi-final and if they can keep their form going, they might prove to be hard customers to deal with even for Bonn Blue Star.

Bonn Blue Star are one of the most experienced sides in Germany's domestic cricket and with a third-place finish on the points table in the group stage, they certainly demonstrated their skill and experience. They won four matches from a total of eight and finished with a net run rate of +0.531.
With plenty of players who have already had the experience of playing cricket for Germany's national team, Bonn Blue Star are rich in experience. They lost twice to Dusseldorf Blackcaps in the group stage and will be desperate to turn things around and qualify for the grand finale with a win here in this match.
The likes of Dilshan Rajudeen and Zaheer Abbas have been in terrific form for them and will need to continue to rack up runs against the Boosters as well. If those two batsmen come good, there are not many bowlers in the competition who can get better of them. Beating Bonn Blue Star is going to be a colossal challenge.

By defeating Dussendorf Blackcaps and qualifying for the playoffs, Bayer Uerdingen Boosters certainly surprised one and all. They now have another difficult challenge to face in yet another high-pressure situation. While Bonn Blue Star haven't been at their best in the tournament, they certainly are a better experienced and better-balanced side between the two.
