Every IPL 2022 match seems to have something a bit extra than just two teams meeting each other as players have shifted camps and have points to prove to their previous franchises. This match is going to be no different either. The Kolkata Knight Riders will be playing against the Delhi Capitals and some key players for both teams have been traded to the other during the mega auction.
Shreyas Iyer would have been surprised at DC not opting to retain him while Kuldeep Yadav made no bones about the fact that he felt he was being underutilized in the KKR camp.
Both these players will have a chance to make a point at the two teams clash against each other.

KKR is currently sitting at the top of the IPL table with three wins from four matches. It has found different players to lead the charge in each win as Pat Cummins, Andre Russell, and Umesh Yadav have picked up the man of the match awards.
The playing eleven for KKR seems quite set and is unlikely to change from the previous match. We saw an absolute freak of an inning by Pat Cummins where he scored one of the fast fifty of all time in his first appearance of the season.
With Billings, Russell, Cummins, and Narine in the middle/lower order, KKR has a lot of power and depth to play with. The performance of these players is probably why players like Nitish Rana and Ajinkya Rahane have got away with a slow start to IPL 2022.
We would not want to pick one of these batters for the Top Batsman market but we would like to bet on KKR to hit more sixes than DC in this match.
KKR's bowling attack is also looking very useful right now. Umesh Yadav has the most wickets in IPL 2022 right now and is consistently picking up wickets during the powerplay. He will have Pat Cummins, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Varun Chakravarthy for support in this match. That is a blockbuster bowling lineup no matter who the additional bowler picked is.
With a bit of spin expected to play a role, we would not mind placing a small bet on Sunil Narine to be the top wicket-taker for KKR in this match.

DC has a massive problem in its lineup and there does not seem to be an easy way out. After getting a tremendous start from Prithvi Shaw in the previous match, the rest of the batting just failed to fire. David Warner could not get the ball off the square, Pant played one of his worst innings in IPL history, and Rovman Powell seems to be struggling to get into any kind of rhythm.
This puts too much pressure on batters like Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, and Shardul Thakur. Delhi's top-order batters need to find form quickly and play without fear otherwise the same kind of problems will keep on getting exposed.
DC's bowling could be more than useful at Brabourne, though. Mustafizur and Nortje are better than what we have seen so far and the spinners are also going to get some help. Kuldeep Yadav spun DC to victory in the previous match that DC played at Brabourne.
His spin bowling partnership with Axar Patel and Lalit Yadav could be quite significant.

This is a day match and we dew is unlikely to play any role. In fact, the pitch could get more difficult to bat on as the match progresses. We think this could be one of those rare games where batting first is an advantage.

We are going to bet on the Kolkata Knight Riders to win this match. They seem to have a superior team to the Delhi Capitals in every respect. Their batting is superior, they have more power, and their bowling options are also world-class.

Sarfaraz Khan played very well in the previous match and continued the good form that he has shown in domestic competitions. One of the things that we have seen is that the DC top order is not very reliable and so even players batting in the middle order will get plenty of chances. We are happy to bet on Over 16.5 runs being scored by Sarfaraz in this match.
The wickets have just started to slow up a little and the amount of runs being scored in day matches is lesser than what we see in day/night encounters. This, as well as the fact that DC is struggling with its batting, makes us lean towards Under 341.5 runs being scored in this match.
KKR has so much more power in its lineup that it is not even funny. This is one betting market that you can probably be a bit aggressive in and go a bit big. DC has six hitters as well, that is to be expected, but we would back KKR every single time to have more hits over the boundary.
