Joe Denly has been the one batter that has stood out in this lineup but he cannot be expected to do everything alone. Still, as a bettor, the signs of a Kent batting revival should not be ignored.
The Kent bowling attack has also underperformed. Qais Ahmad has been underperforming and although he has been economical, he has not picked up the wickets required. As a whole, Kent is a team that is better than what its results suggest but the fact is that its entire unit is in the midst of a collective loss of form.

There is not a single weak over to exploit and teams will always be under pressure. In fact, just having Rashid Khan in the lineup makes the other bowlers more effective.
The challenge for Sussex has been its batting and that is where the acquisition of Mohammad Rizwan has been very astute. He provides solidity and consistency at the top. Bopara, Alsop, and Rawlins are the other batters that can help push the score along.
The batting is not the strongest and early wickets can hurt Sussex. This is a risk that you will have to accept whenever you back the team.
