Charith Asalanka moved to the top of the order but could not get going in the previous match. Ravi Bopara and Tom Moores were the two players that eventually won the match for the Kandy Warriors. Eventually, the Kandy Warriors can be considered a seriously weaker batting lineup than the Jaffna Kings.
That gulf in quality shows up in the bowling lineup as well. Kamindu Mendis picked up three wickets in the previous match but we don't really expect him to have a similar kind of impact in every match that he plays! The rest of the bowling lineup looks very thin and that is going to be a concern going into this match.

The conditions in Colombo are a bit gloomy and we could have some rain once more. The pitch has been very good for batting even though it is a bit on the slower side. When it comes to the bowlers, the spinners have found some assistance but they still have to work very hard for any wickets.
