It's all happening in Vitality T20 Blast 2022 and you just cannot afford to miss the action. Each match is bringing something to feast upon and with stakes rising as we move closer to the knockouts, the excitement is only growing.
Up next in the tournament, Sussex are set to take on Glamorgan in an away game that is an important contest for both these sides. The winner will move back into the thick of things as far as progressing to the next round is concerned and no side would want to miss out on that opportunity. The match between the two sides is to be played at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Sunday 19th June 2022.
Glamorgan have historically had a middling run against the Sharks at home, having won three out of eight matches played at Cardiff. Things have been worse for Glamorgan in the last few years though as they are searching for a home win against Sussex from 2016. Despite a poor record, Glamorgan would take heart from their run in the Blast season this year.
As it currently stands on the ladder, Glamorgan sit a spot above Sussex, at number six in the South Group table. They have won two out of a total of nine matches played, having a total of six points with a net run rate of -0.309. A win here would not bring about any difference to their standings, but it would certainly bridge the gap between them and the team at the fifth spot and that is exactly what they will be aiming for.

Sussex Sharks are certainly having a poor season this year. They are one of the most consistently performing sides of the competition but they have just not been able to hit their top gear yet in the tournament. They have conceded many matches from winning positions and would want to improve in that aspect moving forward in the competition.
Currently on the points table, Sussex are placed at the seventh spot with three wins to their name from nine matches. They have a poor net run rate of -0.378, which they would need to improve at if they want to announce their candidature for the knockouts. A win here will push them above Glamorgan in the pecking order and they would be desperate to get that. It is not going to be easy but if Sussex are able to play to their potential, they should be in business big time.

With the knockouts not far away, this is the make-or-break match for the two sides. The winner of this match will, in all likelihood, stay in the hunt for the knockouts whereas the losing team will have to play out of their skins to progress. Considering the on-paper combinations of the two sides, Sussex seem ahead. Both sides have not won any of their last three matches respectively and there is not much to separate the two on the basis of form. Keeping all that into the consideration and the factors stated above, we would be placing our money on a Sussex win and so should you.
