Stopping Us Now Tour
'N Sync just had their final concert of 1999, and their first concert of 2000 here in Hawaii. They did an awesome job, as always. People were calling in to the radio stations, saying that they have spotted Britney and Danielle Fishel (Topanga, Boy Meets World). Innosense is also here, they opened for the boys. They also did an awesome job. Joey's best friend from Orlando also opened, he sang some Frank Sinatra songs.
The concert was really awesome. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. It beats the Hammer, Boyz II Men, TLC, and UB40 concerts I've been to. During FTGWHE, the boys brought out their moms and sisters, and sang to them on stage. Then, the fathers and brothers came out, without shirts, coconut shell bras, hula skirts, wigs, and make-up. One of the fathers (I think it was Joey's dad), jumped on JC, taking him to the ground, smothering him. It was SOOOOOO cute! Then, he went for Joey, took him to the ground and did the same thing. Then he went for Justin, who started running away from him. Joey's dad was chasing Justin all over the stage. Then, the boys covered their dads and brothers in tricky string. And when they did "Sailing," when they were up in the air, they attacked the sound guy, who sits in the middle of the audience, with the tricky string, too.
During one of the songs, (I think it was "You Got It"), Innosence came out for a little while, and did a short routine with the boys. My only disappointment was that, by the time I got my camera up, the girls exited off the stage. And, another disappointment, Britney never came out to perform. I guess because her dancers weren't here, and she was here on vacation, but it would've been really great to see her perform.
The concert was a great way to start off the millennium. I hope the boys come back to Hawaii more often, and hopefully, next time, Britney will perform. I think Innosense did a great job, the audience seemed to respond very well to them.
Hope everyone had a great time celebrating the millennium. I know all the 'N Sync fans in Hawaii did.
