The Four Hallows

or The Four Treasures of Britian

The Sword of Lugh
or The Sword of Light
The Sword of Lugh of the Long Arm came from the Danaan city of Gorias. To draw the Sword of Light except in gravest need was to bring death to all who looked upon it. The Sword was invincible in battle, cleaving through flesh and the strongest steel as though passing through water and would blaze with fierce bright flame in the hands of its wielder.
The Cauldron of The Dagda
or Pair Dadeni - The Cauldron of Rebirth
The Cauldron of The Dagda came from the Danaan city of Murias, a vessel which would feed an entire host without ever becoming emptied. It also had the power to return the dead to life when the corpse was slain within it, and as such has become associated with the Holy Grail of Arthurian legend.

The Lia Fail
or The Stone of Destiny
The Lia Fail came from the Danaan city of Falias. It was the stone on which the High Kings of Ireland stood when they were crowned and was said to emit a high keening when the rightful king placed his foot upon it. It is said that the famous Stone of Scone which was moved to England by Edward I in 1297 was the Lia Fail. It is now the Coronation Stone at Westminster Abbey.
The Spear Birgha
'I am the spear that roars for blood'
The spear Birgha was crafted in the Danaan city of Finias. Its power was such that it would strain in the hand of the one who held it, eager for the kill. At a word it would fly unerringly toward its mark and at another word would pull itself from the body and return to the hand of the one who threw it. Birgha has never missed its mark, nor failed to slay. It kindles fire in its wake and when it strikes home in righteousness, it emits a chilling howl.

"Three glories of a gathering : a beautiful wife, a good horse, a swift hound"
Celtic Proverb
