-----Romney introduces everyone to the girl and then after he finishes, he introduces the dancer as, "Everyone, I present to you, Mirian, a minstrel by trade."
-----Sarah smiles her nicest smile at the minstrel and sits down next to her. "Hello Mirian! We're sorry to bother you, I'm sure you're a little disturbed after what happened earlier, but don't worry about it! Whether the elf was shooting at you or at me," Sarah shrugs. "Doesn't matter, we'll catch all of them. It's what we do." Sarah decides to drop in, just to see how she reacts, thinking that in the unlikely event this minstrel knows something she might flinch. Sarah leans in and makes hard eye contact. "You haven't been up to anything that would annoy really sneaky archers, have you?"
-----Sol looks around the room briefly then heads slowly towards the balcony to have a look outside. As he does so, he listens to Sarah and Mirian's conversation.
-----Raven enters the room and moves to the nearest window to look out into the forest as Sarah and Mirian talk. The hunter's gaze shifts over to Mirian. Raven studies the girl as she speaks.
-----Mirian sits with an expressionless gaze as she stares at the rain outside the window. She then smiles at Sarah's question and answers in a voice that has a melodic quality, "I have ventured far and all I wish is to bring happiness to those I entertain. I have never known my dancing to offend anyone."
-----The girl's short blond hair glistens with the light of the lit candle in front of her. Her hair seems to sparkle as the flame reflects in the tiny raindrops that seem to be held there.
-----Her green eyes hold a hint of sadness in contrast to the small smile on her red lips. Her multi-colored blouse and skirt appear less brilliant in the gloom of the outside light.
-----Mirian's eyes alight on Romney and her smile widens. "Romney has been very kind in watching over me."
-----The guard from Oakwood nods in reply although he stares at the wall with a stern look as if deep in thought.
-----"Like Sarah said, don't be afraid, we will find out who did this," Garrison says as he looks at the dancer with a strangely uncharacteristic nervous expression.
-----Sarah grins happily as she catches the look between Mirian and Romney. She speaks in Elven, "Don't worry, with us around you'll keep dancing for quite awhile." Then reverting to the common language, she adds, "We'll find 'em, we always do. Right, guys?"
-----"We will, if that's what ye want, Mirian." Sol answers Sarah's question gravely, looking at the minstrel as he does so.
-----While looking out the window Raven says, "More times than not we find 'em." Raven turns to Mirian, "I doubt they were after you. Many people wish us harm, which is why I think you have nothing to fear. If that archer wanted to harm you, he would have attacked you while you were alone, not with a wizard."
-----Mirian looks confused as Sarah speaks in the Elven language. She then asks the mage, "Those words sound beautiful . . . what are they?"
-----"Perhaps this village shall see the Rager's Fury this night!" Lovan interjects. He then good-naturedly slugs Sol in the arm while watching the rain. "Damn, but this has been a glorious day!" The Storm Priest exclaims.
-----Romney furrows his brow as he momentarily glares at Lovan. He then bows to Mirian and Sarah. "Excuse me, MiLadies," the Oakwood guard says, "Perhaps it would be best if I patrol these floors closest to our rooms." Romney then leaves the room briskly.
-----Mirian watches the guard abruptly leave with an unhappy surprised look.
-----"Uhm, . . Mirian," Garrison asks as the girl continues to stare at the door. "Where have you traveled?"
-----"Oh, . . . . . ," the dancer murmurs sadly, "Whitewing, Goldren."
-----Rinda looks at the door, then Mirian and finally at Garrison. The huntress raises her eyebrows and slightly shakes her head. "Soon we should prepare to meet Lord Howrun at the evening feast," she says.
-----Sol raises his eyebrow at Lovan, and he seems to have trouble keeping a straight face. A smile begins to show, but he quashes it as he watches Romney leave. The young warrior looks back at the priest and suggests to the storm priest, "Lovan, we've seen the Rager's fury this day. Th' Lord o' th' sky is now showing us his other side. Let's enjoy it fer what it is."
-----To the rest in the room he says, "Yes. We should get ready. Mirian, I imagine yer going t'be at th' feast tonight, so we'll keep an eye on ye, in case this fellow is actually after you an' tries again." Sol then looks at Sarah and grins, "An' in case he was aiming at you, I guess I'll have t'keep a close eye on ye this eve!"
-----With a quick nod to everyone, Sol then leaves the room to quickly find out where Romney put Sol's stuff.
-----Sarah beams back at Sol as he explains his thinking to her. "Please do, my love." She says tenderly, gazing up at her protector. She watches him walk out the door and sighs wistfully.
