-----Rinda wipes at her bleeding side. She then asks the young mage, "Sarah, do you have any more of those bandages?" She then bends down alongside Bradley and says, "Sarahs right, this ones done with fighting for now."
-----"Yes, hold still." Sarah leaves Bradleys side and kneels next to Rinda to bandage her side. "That might hold it for now." Sarah says dubiously, inspecting the wound as she bandages it.
-----Looking up at Sol and Raven, Rinda asks, "What do you think? Should we send him off to Visp or Oakwood to get others?"
-----As she applies some more bandages to her side, she asks Bradley, "Can you ride?"
-----"Yes," Bradley says through gritted teeth, "and I can still handle a sword."
-----The Huntress gives a small smile and shakes her head.
-----"Then get the hell out of here." Sarah says in a deadly serious voice. "Go to the nearest, biggest, city and get the best troops and wizards and priests you can and tell them to come here. Anyone who will listen. This is big."
-----Meanwhile, Sol looks down the dark tunnel where the sound of ominous chanting from somewhere deep inside the caverns is coming from. Also the orc that Sarah knocked out with her spell begins to grunt and stir.
-----Sarah pauses to kick the orc she knocked out in the face. "Raven, would you like to do the honors?" She asks him.
-----Sol looks urgently back at Bradley and says, "Sarah's right, friend. What I'm hearing now pretty much confirms this is th' main deal. If our visit doesn't go as planned, then Sir Greene will need t'stamp down hard here. Yer th' one that has t'get word t'him about this place."
-----Sol's head snaps back towards where the sound of chanting comes from, and the warrior begins to fidget. It's definitely a warning sign. So is the apologetic glance that the Gorian throws at Raven. Unable to hold himself back any longer, Sol braces himself, and then starts sprinting down the tunnel offering only one quick explanation, "We have t'stop this...now."
-----"Destine help me," Sarah says, and then runs after Sol, trusting that Raven will kill the orc if one of the guards doesn't.
-----With a grimace, Raven immediately kills the orc with one stab to the chest. Motioning to Rinda and the others, they charge down the tunnel after Sol and Sarah.
-----Up ahead, Sol runs through the dark tunnel miraculously failing to run into anything in the pitch blackness. The passage begins to get warm and stuffy suggesting some dark hell not too far away. The steady drone of the chanting voices drives him on like a moth flying haphazardly toward a light source. On and off he reaches out with one hand to follow the wall of the tunnel lest he gets too close to a rocky surface.
-----After running for about eighty feet, Sol can see the tunnel widen slightly and a dim light coming from some source ahead. At this point, Sol notices the chanting has stopped. Charging on Sol emerges into a huge cavern nearly sixty feet across by his reckoning.
-----About twenty feet in front of him stand four rows of people dressed in dark robes facing him. They have their hands at their sides and dont appear to be armed. They stand motionless and Sol quickly determines that there are about twenty of them.
-----His eyes are immediately drawn behind the robed people where an altar is placed on a low rising section of rock. Two lit braziers provide a small amount of light here and the shadows that are cast about the high walls is enough to shake anyones confidence. Behind the altar stand three people, two of which the young warrior recognizes.
-----In the center stands, without a doubt, the evil High Priestess, Devlin. The fire flames brightly in her vengeful gray eyes. Her pale white skin makes her look like some mummified dead creature. Her robe that she wears is so black that from time to time she looks like her head and arms float free of her body. At her signal the robed people in front of the altar silently begin to move and form two lines, each line heading for the walls on Sols right and left. They stand there looking out into the middle of the cave as if awaiting something to happen.
-----To Devlins right stands a medium-sized man with long jet-black hair and thin beard. His eyes are so dark that they appear like the black holes in a skull. He too is dressed in the dark robes of the unholy faithful.
-----The other man shape, Sol sees to the High Priestesss left, is one of the evil wizards the party encountered the night before at the keep. Dressed mostly in black, the only thing that stands out is the white skull mask the person is wearing.
