Thanksgiving

Out of the shadows,
And into the light.
Mine is one of a blessed life.

With all of whom I hold dear by my side,
I know there is no reason to hide
From all that Im forced to abide.

In this place that is not a place,
In this time that is not a time,
I finally feel respite from the fast paced,
And know I am free through verse and rhyme,
As I celebrate in this sacred space.

Among old friends,
And ones anew,
As this festival comes to its end,
My memory will never forget the view
Of the diverse many starting to blend.

We wont wait any longer.
We are stronger than before.
No matter what may occur,
We can always let go and soar.

Im thankful for this day,
And many others.
For all whove loved me,
And let me grow.
Im grateful for more than I can repay,
For the God and Goddess watching over me,
And for all that I have come to know.

On this harvest day,
I let go of all the fray
And shout my thanks to the sky,
As the wheel is turned one more time.
