What are these rules that we follow?
Who made them up,
And are they right?
�Don�t do this� and �Don�t say that�
Want to know what I think (if not, too bad)
I think it�s just crap.
People make fake friendships,
Based on a curtsy or bow.
It�s nice to hear a compliment.
But an empty one?
Don�t steal, curse, or cause people pain.
Don�t be rude, crude, or be in vain.
Silly me. I thought you had to tell the truth.
I thought it wasn�t nice to lie.
But apparently It�s alright if you stop someone�s cry
Adults freak out if someone underage swears, drinks, or whatever.
Like it�s impossible to know these things
Before you hit eighteen.
For instance,
I starred out the �i� in �bitch� in a poem
Because I thought I would be scolded, and not taken seriously.
Because I thought I had to be as bad as a G rated movie
I do try to be honest
Try to be kind.
But have a strict ruled mind?
