Stephanie stifled a slight groan as she slowly awoke from her sleep. She slowly opened her eyes not realizing yet the she was in a moving car. Stephanie began to stretch when she suddenly sat right up in shock.
�Where am I? Who are�?� Stephanie shrieked in fear.
�Hey, your awake. You had me worried. Your safe, don�t worry. It�s me Moongoose McQueen. Sorry if those girls upset you earlier, and that fat ass of a security guard. None of them knew who you were or that I gave you that note.� Moongoose McQueen said with a slight smirk as he looked over at a wide-eyed Stephanie, who was still in shock.
�Where are you taking me?� Stephanie asked softly.
�Well, the night is still young my dear, I don�t know about you, but I�m hungry. I also want to know why a girl like yourself was in a dark alley in the rain alone.� Moongoose said, with much concern, as he drove to the nearest Bar �N� Grill.
�It�s a long story. And what do you mean a girl like myself? First of all I am not a girl. I�ll have you know I am an independent woman who happens to own her own company. Don�t you know who I am?� Stephanie asked raising a brow.
�Well, Stephanie, everyone kind of knows who you are, you are on TV if I�m not mistaken? As far as you being independent, that Miss Billion Dollar Princess, is a load of crap. Aren�t you Daddy�s little girl?� Moongoose said looking over at the young women.
�I am independent! And don�t call me Princess or Daddy�s little girl. I hate that.� Stephanie pouted.
�And why is that?�
�Enough about me. Tell me about yourself?� Stephanie said changing the subject quickly. He noticed it, but didn�t say anything. Of course he knew everything about her already, but she doesn�t know that, al least not yet.
�All I have to do is play this out as long as I can. She must be really hung up on this Moongoose guy� Chris thought as he pulled into the Bar n Grill. �Good thing I was able to exchange the rental car so quickly. She is gonna kill me if she figures this out. It�s all worth it. God, what I go through to just have one nice night with the woman I love.� His thoughts kept going as he stopped the car and put his keys in his pocket. �Who knows, maybe tonight, I should just tell her, get the whole thing over with. Yea sure, me Chris Jericho, her nightmare in shining amore, the one guy she would love to kill with her bare hands tell her he loves her, yea right. Sure she�ll kill me for lying, kidnapping, betraying and manipulating her, but, she looks so sexy when she�s mad.� Chris chuckled at the thought.
�What�s so funny.�? Stephanie asked looking at the muscle-toned man standing next to her.
�Oh nothing.� Chris said with a smirk as the walked into the building.
He held the door open for Stephanie. She realized that no one has done that in a long time, she turned back to give him a smile when she got a familiar glimpse that almost stop her dead in her tracks. Those eyes, they way they shined. And the way they made her feel. She looked in these eyes before, but where, this was the first time she met Moongoose. The thought left her puzzled, but, deep inside her, it somewhat excited her.
