Love Stories There'll always be two sides to a story... Ang Proposisyon Wowie : Dhey informed me weeks before that he’ll be going out with his old friends from Cubao – high school classmates on Saturday, which was October 16. By Friday that week, he told me it was on Sunday morning. Though I thought it was a bit queer, them going out in the morning (Hey, friends usually go out on a night out!), but then he told me they were just going to the mall, so I let it pass. He kept asking if the camera is ready, which we intended to use for some pictures in our video wall.
Come Saturday, he went to our house intending to pass time before he went to the office. I was not feeling well, and I was sleeping when he came. I was touched he thought of passing by to check if I’m okay (though I also thought he was also guilty for going out –for what reason I don’t know). I didn’t really mind him chatting with my siblings just then, and I might drop by the Mega-sale in Megamall in the morrow.
I smelled something mighty fishy when I noticed the shoes he’s using before he left for work. Dhey hated wearing formal shoes at least the pair he used then because it made his feet hurt, now he’s wearing it for a day out with his friends??? What’s a girl to do???? I went on questioning him. “Sobrang porma naman yun… hindi ka nagsusuot niyan. Anong meron??” Then he’d go in his time tested ways of defending himself – deny, tampo, the works… But of course, he would be late & I really hate it when we part ways angry. So we made up before he left.
On Sunday morning, he woke me up as usual with a text message that he’s on his way to Cubao to meet Joel, his best pal, and to wake me up so I can beat the on rush of people at the mall. He was insisting that I wake one of my sisters to accompany me. Well, I tried to, but Ate Jep was still sleeping, and Twinkle was with John Noel playing Text Twist. I was testy because I wanted them to come with me but I was frustrated with the waiting. After all, Dhey texted me that he might follow us at Megamall if he can leave early, so I wanted my shopping and browsing (we wanted to canvass for the best price for an all in one printer) to be done and over with when we meet. I texted back that I might just go alone as the company he was proposing didn’t seem to want to do so. He kept insisting that I wait for them in return.
