I am an experienced Writer living in Hong Kong.
Recently, I was outsourced by my employer on a contract basis to provide technical writing, rewriting and content management services to an investment bank. The contract has just ended and I would like to keep my options open to welcome new challenges.
For your quick reference, let me list my qualifications as follows:
- BA (Hons) Communication Design, Coventry University, England - graduated in 2005 with first-class honours degree
- Higher Diploma in Translation and Interpretation, City University of Hong Kong - graduated in 1999 with credits
- IELTS overall band score of 7.0, including 6.5 in Reading, 6.5 in Listening, 7 in Writing and 7 in Speaking
- 3 years' solid work experience with different firms in Hong Kong as Technical Writer and/or Software Tester, serving reputable clients such as UBS, HSBC, Fidelity and Fisher Price
- 1 year's experience as an International Intern with Myongdong Info Zone of Youth, c/o UNESCO-Korea in Seoul (my key duty was to plan and organise cross-cultural awareness programmes targeting young people of different cultural backgrounds)
- 1 year's book authoring and design experience (my book was published by Myongdong Info Zone of Youth, c/o UNESCO-Korea in Seoul in 2006)
- Gap year in Seoul, South Korea in the academic year of 2003/2004
- 2 weeks' international youth leadership training on the island of Vaerlandet, Norway
- Currently writing my second book on health, fitness and beauty topics on a freelance basis
