Art is my Love,

Graphic Design is my passion!

My Greatest asset is representing the client by creating a balanced, well thought out piece using many different forms of art.  For many years I have searched for the best way to express my art. Years ago, that involved an overhead projector. With computer graphics and programs like Adobe, my visions of art are achieved. The creation of these tools are what peaked my interest in graphic design. Once I started using the computer to put my designs together I never looked back. I am excited to officially be part of the graphic design world.

My Designs

williamsburg collage
Williamsburg

For this collage, I wanted to capture the essence of Colonial Williamsburg. There are a lot of things to love about living so close to this living history museum. My favorite is being able to walk around and envision simpler times. This collage was completed in Adobe Photoshop.

logo for queens lake swim team
Eagles

I created this logo for my neighborhood swim team to use on their swim caps. In the past, the team chose a new logo every year, constantly changing designs in a search for a bold, easily identifiable logo. They have now been using this logo for seven years. I first created the design using a program that is no longer available. I have since updated it using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

snowmania island sign
SnoMania Island

Developing logos for new small businesses is my favorite type of project. I absolutely love seeing the finished project on their sign and on their merchandise. What a thrill it is to know that I was able to help a new owner with an affordable design. (& a small redesign when  he opened up his second location!) I used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for this design. Visit SnoMania's facebook pagehere

Branding Suites

St Joan of Arc Music Minnestry
St. Joan of Arc Music Ministry

This logo was orginally created using a program that is no longer in use. To update the logo I used a combination of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I also used Adobe Illustrator to create a stationary suite for the ministry's use.

town menu
Town

This is my submission for a design project assigned in school at SNHU. We were given a logo and the company design brief. We needed to use mostly Adobe InDesign to create a menu, tri-fold flyer and table tent. I also used Adobe Illustrator to capture the company logo.

logo for bakery
Upper Crust Bakery

For this project I was given the name of the bakery and a brief history of the company. I then sketched out possible designs. When the preliminary designs were viewed, and this design chosen, I proceeded to create it using Adobe Illustrator.

This Magazine layout was created in Adobe InDesign.  The image used is from my personal photography.

amethyst bay mag add
Bold

When creating an ad campaign, I like to go bold to catch the attention of the viewer quickly. This magazine advertisement for Amethyst Bay took a different approach to the typical beach scene to do just that. Programs used were Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Informative

Another Magazine cover using Adobe InDesign. Again the photograph used is my personal photo.

orangutang mural
Planets

This is a project that was done while working on Adobe InDesign and demonstrating typography skills. This magazine spread was created to capture the viewers' attention, while keeping the body of the story readable.

palm tree mural
Egg Hunt

This flyer was created in Adobe Illustrator for a neighborhood event for some adult fun. I volunteer often to create fun, quick flyers for our neighborhood newsletter and Facebook events.

dreamland designs sign
Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent was a project in typography that was later turned into an opening magazine spread about him. This was for the most part created in Adobe Illustrator with a little work done in Adobe Photoshop when working with the orginal image of Vincent.

Personal Photography

All photographs used as part of this website are my own personal photography.
picket fence
Colonial Williamsburg

Living in such a beautiful, historical area, there are many opportunities for photography. Taking photographs of the beauty all around me has enabled me to document it and not just pass it by. I have put together a collection of photographs of the historic area to put in a photo book for each of my kids as they leave and move on with their lives.

flower still life
Still life

I enjoy setting up still life arrangements inside when my garden has interesting new plants or flowers. I feel this gives a different take on the typical photography of nature. I can be more creative and control the elements, like lighting and backgrounds, more to my liking.

Enjoying nature

I enjoy going out into nature alone and enjoying some quiet time. I love that I can take my phone out on my paddle board, even in the rain, to be able to get a shot I would not otherwise be able to get with my DSLR.
