Bathala Caves

"That was a very exciting day when we started packing our things for, as if, a very long journey."

The 'Bathala Caves' is only a few hours travel from our home-office at UP Los Baños College, Laguna. We were invited by Kuya Cyrin [Mendoza Rico] himself to see their beautiful private park at their backyard. Wow! Park at the backyard? That's quite interesting.

Indeed, the Caves are right there in their backyard. Just a few feet away from their backdoor is the entrance to the Secret Cave… a hundred feet more to the right, the entrance to the River Cave. And still more entrances leading to different chambers of the mountain-cave could be reached in just few minutes hiking up the steep slope.

Whew! that was Holy Week of year 2000 when our team, UPLB Gurong Pahinungód, visited the place. Cute namin no?
