YOUR RESPONSES REGARDING "HYRULE: The Land of Zelda" AND THEIR FALSE REMARKS AGAINST VIDEO GAMER X

Well, I can tell you one thing, the truth really shines though all the inuendo when it is printed in black and white for everyone to see. "Hyrule: The Land of Zelda" and it's webmaster Falco-X went through such a big effort to make me and "The Odyssey of Hyrule" look bad by printing slanderous information and still to this day it's main webmaster is unforgiving and adversarial. I really does show where people's motivations lie doesn't it? Shameful, utterly shameful. This page documents what you said to me about the whole incident, and your feelings regarding this webmaster's immature behavior.

Webmaster of Abstrussness of Hyrule Wrote: Don't feel like you're the only one that's been bashed by these low life, selfish losers. The way I see it, ALL of the staff at Hyrule: The Land of Zelda are greedy, good-for-nothing stealers that take everything away from everybody in the Zelda community that's "not as good as them". I too had my own confrentations with this, Falco-X. I sent in some fan mail on some of their mystery leads that they'd been having that I'd solved. Sure they ended up posting my mail on the list of mails, but Mr. big and bad Falco-X had to be a smart ass and put me down for some of the stuff I said! If you really care and wanna see what they said you can visit my site's url:

www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Zone/4135/

Go down on the left frame to "Wall of SHAME" (sorry if you think I dubbed the name off of you) and you'll see on that page what they said in response to my letter.

I was in a webwar with H:TLOZ not too far back, wanting to take their site through hacking (which my people did infact do a marvelous job of despite what HTLOZ says), and I, well, me and my team won the war. If you visit throughout their site and look around, I noticed how they did infact put up sections similar to the ones on Odyssey had up a few days or a week before. I don't doubt they use your ideas to create their own sections, while copying what you had, just adding a few things to make it "theirs".

I'm not gonna lie--I do take some of the glitches on my page off of your page and other pages but I ALWAYS give proper credit to the trick's founder(s) along with a link to the site I found it on. I've had this happen to me as well when the persons involved DON'T give credit whrere credit is due, the main reason I have a "Wall of Shame". I don't stand for it and as you've proven, you don't either.

Fonner Wrote: Hey, Hyrule: TLOZ Must have a lot of nerve...Saying that theyre sorry, then attempting to spread rumors about you... Pretty Low... But anyways, your site is great, and best of all, ORIGINAL. Falco X probably was going to call himself Video Gamer X too... anyways, those are my thoughts on their plagerism.

Eric Szollosy Wrote: I read your page about the land of hyrule and how they were trying to make you look bad. I have visited your site every day since sometime in december. And i know that you give credit to any and all people that send you things.I know that you probebly have no idea who i am but for what its worth you have my faith and i support you becuse from what i know about you you seem like a good person

Keyhole7 Wrote: Obviously Hyrule: The Land of Zelda hasn't done research on other sites. They now boast that they have the first online Zelda Encyclopedia, which confused me for a second when I first read that. Didn't you already have one a long time ago?? I hate to sound like a snitch, but I didn't know what else to do. This is a new addition on their site, and it's a collaboration(?) between them and The Grand Adventures. I hate to see these kind of false statements.

Chris Wrote: Odyssey of Hyrule is much better than HTLOZ, I am just complimenting you on an excellent job done. Oh and by the way, HTLOZ have copied off of you more times than one. Remember that T-rex code that was bogus? well a few days after it came out I saw that T-rex picture on HTLOZ, now I can understand that they might not give you credit for that, because it was sent in by a "fan" who had the audacity to make up a different story than the one you posted, but it was obviously the same picture. Now I e-mailed them and told them that this picture was coppied off of Odyssey of Hyrule, and that they should at least say that the pics came from your site, they then sent me an E-mail saying that they would give you no credit. For what reason I dont know, something about how they cant give you credit for the pics because you didn't send them to HTLOZ. And I just read their message about how you coppied off them, well I think I speak for everyone when I say--Get those bastards. Thanx and God Bless

-Lone- Wrote: Dear "Hyrule: The Land Of Zelda" webmasters and Video Gamer X: I would ike to try and settle this arguement between you two peacefully, if both are willing to listen. I have an array of facts that I know neither can dispute.
The Odyssey Of Hyrule had the Crooked Cartridge trick FIRST. Video Gamer X was curtious enough to allow it to circulate around the internet and did not try to keep it for his own.
Video Gamer X had the debug code, known also as Video Gamer X's Code, on his website FIRST.
And, Video Gamer X gave HTLOZ full credit for the Ariana Almondez screenshots and story. He included even the border around the pictures showing HTLOZ's trademarks.
Video Gamer X OWNS the debug code. He discovered it first, and deserves full credit for it, just as HTLOZ discovered the Ariana Almondez story FIRST and got full credit for it.
I hope you listen to my views, because I do not want two great sites fighting for something as petty as this. One should not argue over ownership when it is clearly someone else's.

RichterBmt Wrote: Bravo to you for discovering the obscure debug code and shame on Hyrule:The Land of Zelda for slandering your website and good name. Your request for credit for the code YOU discovered was a simple one and one that should have been honored in the first place. Major video game magazines and websites always credit the discoverer of a code. They have shown an lack of integrity, and I for one will visit their website exactly one more time -- to give them a piece of my mind on this matter.

Timothy Harris Wrote: To Video Gamer X. Hyrule: The Crap of Zelda sucks! I can't believe they pulled a dirty trick like that. Your site is and always will be the best out there, and all my friends think so. I will personally E-mail those bastards until they take that garbage about you off of their site and print a full page apology letter in it's place. I don't care if they have all those fancy graphix, you're site is the REAL "Land of Zelda"

Hard Tack Wrote: Hey VGX, first of all I just wanted to say that I am a loyal "Odyssey" visitor. Secondly, what is wrong with HTLOZ? What are they trying to start? I think this whole thing is a plan to discredit you, because your site is so threatening to theirs. They couldn't possibly compete with you, and now they're throwing a big fit about it, and all it's doing is lowering gamers' opinion of them (well, mine at least). Well, I say this means war!! And I will be on the front line of Odyssey's army.

Shogun Wrote:Is all that crap on "Hyrule the land of Zelda"? I was A memmber of their maling list until I saw what they said about you and your site and critized your Webmaster name. So as of today I have unsubscribed my name to the mailin list and will be in the fight for truth and justice. And hope my service (even how small it was) was of some use.

I, Video Gamer X, thank the support you are showing in this matter and appreciate all the effort made in righting what was wronged. Only YOU can help put an end to Wall of Shamers and bring freedom of acknowledgement back to the internet and the Zelda online world. Perhaps someday Falco-X will make an apology to me for the things that he said, and put an end to his charade of blame.
