Specific Gravity?
Specific gravity is the ratio of the density of a solid or liquid to the density of water at 4 C. To find specific gavity you take the density of what you're measuring in g/cm3 and divide this density by the density of water (1 g/cm3).This is useful when measuring alcohol content because it is less dense than water.
