- Cell phone - this is the most common phone that most people have
- Smart phone - this is a cell phone but can be customized for hardware and software
- PDA - Personal Digital Assistant and can do many of the things a cell phone can do including making phone calls
- Sync - process of insuring that data on your cell phone is the same as the data on your pc or other device
- Text message - sending text messages from one cell phone to one or many cell phones
- Service plan - service that makes it possible for the cell phone to make calls
- Wireless service provider - the different companies that offer service plans for cell phones
- Carrier - a wireless service provider
- Ring tone - a tone from a cell phone that alerts the user
of an incoming call. There are many different types of ring tones
including the basic ring or tone that comes with the cell phone to
downloaded musical jingles and custom designed ring tones.
