How to become a Ham radio Operator or Amateur Radio Operator
  • The amateur radio service is for qualified persons of any age who are interested in radio technique solely with a personal aim and without pecuniary interest. These services present an opportunity for self-training, intercommunication, and technical investigations. Twenty-seven small frequency bands throughout the spectrum are allocated to this service internationally. Some 1,300 digital, analog, pulse, and spread-spectrum emission types may be transmitted.
  • To get a ham license all that you have to do is to pass a written test for one or two hours followed by a practical test in sending and receiving Morse code. The questions are based on elementary Electronics and wireless rules and regulations.
  • Ham radio is not more expensive than any other hobby like photography or flying. HO!.. Ham radio requires only an initial investment in transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) after which no expenditure!. You can make a transmitter and receiver for about Rs-2000/- and talk to Hams in India and make contacts from outside.
  • For about RS-1000/- you can assemble a powerful RF amplifier equipment with which you can make regular contacts all over the world.
