ECOTOURISM SAW-SEA

A great adventure begins when visitors discover the south of Sonora and enjoy it's beautiful beaches, estuaries, rivers and mountains and enjoy a combination of climates which range from tropical desert to the forests of the Sierra Madre, all this surrounded by traces of an inherited rich native tradition and the heritage of the Spanish colonization.

Our visitors admire the great diversity of handcrafts, for example, products made from wool like the magnificent jorongos, rugs and blankets. The impeccable baskets weaved with palm tree leaves; ditch reed and willow tree twigs as well as beautiful furniture and stools made from buasima wood and upholstered with leather.

We can also find a great variety of products made from horsehair such as ropes, reins, halters, etc. as well as excellent leather products such as sandals, riding saddles and riding crops; we must not forget the pottery and the traditional deer heads, pascola masks and many more crafts.

For the nature watchers, the south of Sonora offers extremely beautiful place and virgin beaches, shores where you will be able to see dolphins and manglares where you can find abundant varieties of birds and fauna. Fishing and white wing dove hunting, as well as deer and wild boar hunting are a great adventure for the amateurs of these activities. We must not let the opportunity of visiting the hunting ranches that exist in this region.

If you visit the Colonial city of Alamos, explore it's museum and old house; enjoy a callejoneada, a stroll along the narrow old streets while listening to music played by a traditional musical ensemble or Estudiantina; you will be able to experience the magic of this unique region.
