After running his first two-mile race as a teenager, Joe Vitucci caught the running bug and never stopped.
He wrote the novel - A Run by the River - while working for the consulting arm of
Arthur Andersen.
Most of the writing happened at the time the firm became entangled in the Enron scandal and gave him three months of "free" time.
Since then, he's continued to work in the IT industry and enjoys writing, running, music, and trying to remain a fan of his
childhood teams - the Reds and Bengals - who never seem to win.
He's written 100 pages of his second book which is due out in the year 2043.
This also goes for the stack of unpublished short stories sitting in his nightstand drawer.
He's hopeful these last two sentences are facetious.
Joe is a graduate of Miami University of Oxford, Ohio.
