Paso Dona Juana, Veracruz, Mexico.
As you know, I am from Mexico and I was born and grew up in Cordoba which is a colonial city. It is located along the gulf of Mexico, we have 4 seasons but almost always the temperature is warm, it also rains a lot, that is why there is vegetation everywhere. I like the green color of the landscape.
Until I was 25 years old I lived with my parents, my older brother, Cuca (my dog) and Beto (my parrot).
I got married on December 27th. of 2003 and 8 months later Gerardo (my husband) and I came to Ithaca for his PhD.
I am an adaptable person, and I really enjoy being with my friends. This is one of my favorite hobbies, but once in a while I love to spend a quiet weekend at home.
I also like to watch TV, handcraft making, and meet with my scrap booking group every month (a special girl's Friday night). I have always been interested in design and even when I am not really good at it, I work hard trying to do my best. I like to dance, especially Latin music like salsa, merengue, and quebradita which is my favorite.
I love animals, specially dogs. Some times when I walk outside I see dogs and I always like to stop and pet them because they remind my of my dog Cuca. I call this perro-terapia (dog-therapy). Something I do not like is machismo, racism and discrimination.
