SKIN SCIENCE: Suppressing enzymes and whitening

There are two types of melanin that cause spots and freckles: black and yellow. It was also found that tyrosinase is not the only enzyme that reacts when exposed by ultraviolet rays. Three enzymes are involved in the conversion of tyrosine (colorless) to black and yellow melanin. Suppressing the action of these three enzymes can be tough for whitening products.
