We are at the Historic Skagway Inn, which, as it turns out, was not always a very respectable establishment. For a while it was a house of ill repute and the young ladies' names remain above the bedroom doors. The house is decorated in a 1920s style with some wonderful antiques.

There are a lot of antique creations made of antlers or other "bits".

There are also bones of local wildife, a beautiful flower and vegetable garden and a gourmet restaurant.(Scrambled egg green burritos for breakfast - pretty good actually.)

Skagway is quite a special place which blooms in the summer to serve tourists and cruise ships.

Skagway was founded to support the Klondike Gold Rush.

Many of the buildings are original.

We have just realised that it is Canada Day on Saturday and we are not far from the border. We are going to hop on a train tomorrow to celebrate Canada's birthday in Whitehorse, Yukon.
