This week we had a meeting with our industry supervisor (Thomas) and one of our university supervisors (Ozdemir).
The Tuesday meeting (from 1pm to 3pm)
was very useful in answering the questions our group had raised in week 2.
We also received the gas sensing module previously built by Thomas's group in 2005.
Formation of project scope was formed using questions answered during our group meeting.
We inspected the gas sensing module and began to think of improvements which would achieve our new project goals.
These revised goals were namely:
1) Miniaturisation of the gas module.
2) Integration of the dust module into the gas module.
3) Addition of a web-server capability to the module.
4) Documentation.
This week has consisted mainly of writing our project plan.
We have also rang Drager in Germany to find information. It was decided that we would use the Melbourne office of Drager for future correspondence.
Project plan was completed ready for approval from our supervisors.
