Project Start Date: 26th February 2007

                Week 1 Activities:

During this week we have applied for  three projects:

1) Computer Simulation and Modelling   of Blood Flow in Bones.

2) An Integrated Environmental Monitoring System.

3) An Intelligent Solar Power System
.
Progress at the end of week 1:

At the end of week 1 we were awaiting the result of our project choice submission.

               Week 2 Activities:

At the start of this week (Monday) we found out we had obtained project 2.

This project is sponsored by a section of PIRSA (Primary Industries and Resources of South Australia) called SARDI (South Australian Research and Development Institute).

They developed a gas monitoring system for use in agricultural sheds in 2004 and now wish to test the feasibility of using the technology commercially for monitoring gases in Australian pubs a restaurants.

There are five project components:
1) Miniaturise the existing gas detector.
2) Improve the gas sensors.
3) Improve computer communication to the detector.
4) Build a web data-logger.
5) Write a manual and a brochure.

On Tuesday we received the documentation from the previous gas detection project at SARDI.
Progress at the end of week 2:

At the end of this week we had read through the project documentation and discussed the project from our reading.

We had also completed the structure for this website.
