-About the Site-

Development Process

This site was developed in order to provide Uncle Mark with the ability to showcase his tire repair shop. The first steps taken in developing the site was to lay out and plan the structural theme to the site. Using multiple pages to allow the customer to navigate to different portions of the site while still being able to return to the home page. This was also the building blocks for designing what "sections" would be needed in order to truly showcase the store. Once the layout was complete it was developing and learning how to code the website properly which is still a work in progress.

Defense of the Final Project

The color scheme I was aiming for was a black, blue, light blue and white. The light blue was chosen to provide some eye strain relief while giving something more appealing than just white. The blue was used to provide a nice dark color to show the top and bottom portions of the site. The font color of black was chosen to make the words easily readable without causing to much strain on the eye. Some pictures were added to make the user understand that they were on a tire shop site without having to specifically state that.

Opportunities

In order to make this page truly what I had originally envisioned I would need to develop my coding skills tremendously. I would have liked to add a scheduling service where the customer can choose and schedule the date and time to have a service done and have the website save and update that information. Another Feature that I would have liked to put int the site is the ability to search through a catalog of item and be able to filter it down to a specific item. I could have used more time to develop and debug the website. I was on track for most of the course then COVID-19 kicked in and derailed any progress that I had made.
