Corey & Bear's Stories
Bear
Bear is a 7-year-old male who was the pride and joy and beloved companion
of a 74-year-old woman who recently lost her life to lung disease.
She loved this dog with all her heart and tried her best to recover so
she could return to him. Her last days were filled with worry of what would
happen to Bear without her there to take care of him.
Bear went to his new home in
Kingsland TX December 22, 2002. He now lives in a nice,
comfortable waterfront home along Lake LBJ with a
50-something couple who are raising two grandkids. The
wife stays at home in the daytime; the husband is a
parts manager for an auto dealership.
Bear ran inside like he owned the place, with kisses
for everybody. They loved him instantly.
Corey
Corey was a stray
found in a rural county outside Dallas and came into rescue with every
conceivable parasite, including heartworms. Even though he was really sick,
Corey remained gentle, patient and trusting throughout his ordeal of vet
visits to treat heartworms, intestinal bugs and ear infections.
December 15, 2002, Corey went to his new home in Waxahachie. Corey & Mike are best buddies, and take daily walks to a nearby park.
