The purpose of this page is so my uncle could finally get rid of some of the items that have been clogging the place for years! My uncle and I like to collect items. He made the suggestion that I should create a website so that way he can do business on his own instead of relying on pawn shops. It is the time of the internet afterall! So this site was created with a lot of suggestions from my uncle.
Having stuff to sell just isnt' enough now and these days. It has to be organized after all. I attempted to seperate items based on what type of category that would go into. For example, I wouldn't want to look for clothing items in an electronic department. There is why there are 2 dedicated pages for the categories of clothing and electronics. The goal was to make sure that things would be easy to access, and other pages could be just a click away on the website. I am sure it would be frustrating for a person to reach a dead end on a site just to find out going back isn't possible without going all the way back to square one. The color scheme I went with is pretty simplicit. I wanted to make sure red would pop out since stop signs in life are red, which typically draws attention for a lot of people. Therefore the main links would be easier to view and locate on this site. My uncle and I came to the conclusion that putting items into organized tables would make it not only more presentable, but also more effective for keeping everything tight. Orange and Yellow are also very bright colors, hence why they ended up being part of the color scheme as well.
In order to really open up with the site even more in time, I plan on adding even more categories to the roaster as time goes by. Eventually there will be a music category page, which may even break down into genres. The current clothing page in the future is going to have seperate parts for winter and summer type clothing. There will even be a dedicated anime page later on in time, since that is very popular. There may be some sounds added on other pages to create some atmosphere, but videos would still be limited. Videos take awhile to load on some devices, and the objective is to have a speedy experience not boggled down with more flashy things such as video. There is even a feedback page available so that way visitors can provide specific feedback.
