is a technique developed in
Europe many years ago to remove
dents on cars by massaging the
metal from the inside out. In
the UK it is called SMART
Repairs. It is thus an advanced
& sophisticated manner in
repairs, in that there is no
spray painting, cracking or
affecting the original paint.
This concept is specially and
only used on the latest models
of cars, because they are made
of soft metals. It is still a
developing skill in South
Africa, and it is in a great
demand in the motor industry.
This is a highly technical
skill, which involves much
dedication and practice.
Research has proven that
paintless dent removal has been
around for about 34 years in the
United Kingdom, and the same is
now happening in South Africa.
There is such a demand for
trained dent technicians that
the starting of a training
academy to fill this gap was
unavoidable.
We
assess each prospective student
prior to acceptance on the
course, thereby eliminating the
possibility of training people
who are not for this skill.
Time
Factor
Comparable to the conventional
manner of repairing dents, it is
much faster. For example, a car
owner would wait +/- 3 to 4 days
or more whilst the car is being
repaired. With paintless dent
removal the average is 45
minutes.
Cost
Factor
With the conventional repair
manner, it would cost the
customer on average R1000 per
panel or per door. However with
paintless dent removal a
customer would save between 60%
to 70% on repairs and time.
