| Pizza Hut... Warnings: Do I really need to go over this again? I figure if you read the warning on chapter 1 you don't need it here. Still 1+2+1, eventual 1x2, 5+C, 2xH, AU, OOC everyone, blahdy blah. See Chapter 1 for more details. I don't own anything, so don't sue. Chapter Two. Friday Night. Duo's View. "What's up with Heero?" Noin asks me. "Ano..." I stutter "Duo, are you just going to stand there with that pizza or what?" Sally reminds me. "I have to go." I thankfully leave the conversation. 'Now where does this pizza go? Oh, yea. the pissy table in the back. They are not tipping me. If they do, it will be a miricle.' I thought on my way back to the table. "Here you are, sorry about it being late. The first one was burnt, so we remade it for you." I aplogize. "Hey, it's no problem." They say to me. 'You're still not tipping me, are you?' I think, I walk off again, keeping an eye out for tables in distress. I get asked to grab a refill and some napkins on my way back behind the counter. I throw my long hair over my shoulder. 'My customer must think a guy server with a three foot braid is silly. I've always had my hair this long. It's never given me any problems. Sometimes I actually think my customers like it.' i start thinking again as I grab the refill and napkins and head back out. 'Did Heero know he grabbed my nuts by accident? He mustva known, he wouldn't have run off if not. But what distrubed him about that? It was an accident.' "Hiya! Whatcha thinking?" Relelna stopped my train of thought. "You scared the shit outta me!" I yell. "Customers!" Sally silences me. "Sorry! Now what did you say, Relena?" "What are you thinking, you looked deep in thought." She repeats. I throw on a happy grin. "Nothing important." I tell her. "Oh, okay." She wanders off in search of someone new to talk to. I watch her try to get Sam-I-Am in a conversation. Suddenly , my keen ears pick up the soft jingle of keys. 'He's back...' my mind tells me in classic Poltergist fashion. I galnce up to see Heero return from outside. My soft violet eyes float up to his intense blue ones. I smile at him. He returns it with a cold stare. 'How long have I known Heero? I think it's been years now. He's always been this cold to me. Makes me wonder if there's a real human being in there. He's always calling me a baka, I don't think he's liked me a whole lot over the years.' I approach him. "Hey, Heero!" He scowls at me, "Look man, I'm sorry for bumping into you like that. I didn't mean it." "Hn." Is his only response. "I know this isn't the best time, but i was wondering...since we get out at the same time, you wanted to go to the bar...with me..." His silence bothers me. "I mean you can say no. It's alright, i'll understand." "Yea, I guess so. just don't take forever to get out of here. Have everything done." "Yessir." I salute him as he rolls those blue eyes. I walk off intent on having all my stuff done at nine. i walk past the make table, listening in on a conversation about having sex in the store. Dorothy and Treize, who somehow got nicknamed 'Muffinhead', snicker as I walk past. 'I'll admit it guys. I had sex with Hilde, here in the store. I think it's exhilerating with the thought of being caught in a public place. Espcially at work. Of course I'll never admit it to them aloud.' I assess what is done and what still needs to be done before I can leave. I finally decide to take tables for another hour, then concentrate on cleaning my share of the dinning room for Relena. 'Maybe, I can finally get inside Heero's head. Another confession to myself: He's cute. I hear Ira and Dorothy talk about having a crush on him, but I never thought I'd admit, even to myself that I had a crush on him. I think he's hansome in a rugged way. I swear he's never clean shaven, generally looks like he just got out of bed. There's a certain...I dunno...Beauty is not the word. He'd probably smack me upside the head for that. Come to think of it, if he knew I liked him in that way, he'd probably try to kill me. Maybe I shouldn't bring it up to him.' I went about rolling silverware at the front counter, losing myself deeper in my thoughts. 'I love Hilde, I mean she's having my baby and all, but there is something about Heero. Something masculane and almost primal.' I sigh as I push myself away from the counter, my arms full of the freshly rolled sliverware. I never saw Heero walk up behind me to get a glass of water. I trip over him, falling into his arms. He straightens me up, so I can walk again. "Thanks, must be a funny coincidence, twice in one day." "Hn." he replies. To Be Continued...
