Bunny Leads Second Wave Of Irish Rockers In America
New York, N.Y. (ContentDesk) June 28, 2005 -- Formed in early 2001, Bunny made an immediate impact on the midland scene, winning the "Feedback Song Contest" in April that year. The band started working with Treasure Island Records at the end of '01, releasing a limited edition E.P., "Strangers Have The Best Candy" in August (selling all 500 copies in three days).Bunny then gigged hard for the rest of the year, touring with label mates, The Revs, as well as the well know "Blast All Ages" circuit, gaining an impressive fan-base in the process. In February 2002, Bunny took third place in the prestigious "Jacob's National Song Contest" at Vicar St. in Dublin. The band released their debut single "Fearless" on July 4, 2003.

It reached number two in the 2FM airplay chart the week prior to its release, an astonishing achievement for a debut single from an independent rock outfit. "Fearless" charted at number 27 in the National

Chart. The remainder of the summer of 2003 was spent gigging (including an extensive tour and a slot at the Witness festival, supporting Coldplay and White Stripes), building an expanding fan-base. In October 2003, Bunny split from Treasure Island Records. The band finished recording their stunning album in Grouse Lodge Studios in Co. Westmeath with up and coming producer Stefan Soffia (recently worked with Doves, Muse, New Order among others) in April 2004.

The album "Slick Corporate Music" is on general release since Sep 6 to critical and public acclaim and double Radio single What went wrong?/Altamont was one of the most requested songs of the year and current single "Drowning In The Loud" is blasting out of the airwaves as we speak. Watch for New York City Gigs and around the United States.Viva El Bunny!Contact:James Mullally646-275-4253www.bunny.ie.
