The most important holiday and festival in is St. Patrick’s Day, and if you plan on being in during this time you’ll need to make sure that you have reservations!

If you travel to you are going to want to make sure that you do a lot of shopping since has some great shopping areas. The main shopping areas in are Temple Bar, Nassau Street, Henry Street, O’Connell Street, St. Stephen’s Green, and Grafton Street. If you’re looking for some great new clothes that are in style for the upcoming season you will want to pay a visit to the Brown Thomas department store that is on Grafton Street for some wonderful Irish design.

There are some large department stores in that will keep you busy for hours. The biggest department store is located in St. Stephen’s huge shopping mall. Dublin has shopping for everyone, including clothing, jewelry, crafts, and antiques. If you take a trip to Dawson Street you’ll be able to find some smaller, exclusive clothing stores. These stores will carry a more expensive line of clothing but will be well worth the price when you find yourself wearing a one-of-a-kind designer dress.

Dublin is also famous for its wonderful indoor and outdoor markets that take place at different times of the week. The best and largest market is Mother Redcap’s, which can be found in Back Lane. This is a huge indoor market that will delight you with its books, music, antiques, clothes, cheeses, cakes, and other tasty treats.

Catch Books, on Duke Street, features a wide selection of antiquarian books. also houses a number of terrific bookstores to entice both general readers, and those seeking rare first editions. Make sure you schedule shopping time if you plan a holiday in Dublin.
