Metropolis International
Conceived
by Pornpat Development,
this is a mixed use complex which comprised a 102 storey office
tower, a five star hotel with retail, convention and exhibition
facility and parking for 5,000 cars. Construction was scheduled
to begin in 1997, the project has been put on hold indefinitely
since the financial crisis.

City development. The building itself was to become the largest
building in SE Asia. |

from the City and construction was to commence in '94 and to be
completed in '98. The project was to be jointly developed by Singha
Land Co Ltd and Chalon Group.
The project's current status is not known.

Sathorn Finance
This elegant eliptical
shaped tower is designed by Kohn
Pedersen Fox (London), designer of the Wave Tower. The building
is proposed for a site on Sathorn Road, to be developed by Wave
Finance Group.
This project is currently on-hold.

proposed 51 storey office tower for a site on Silom Road. The
tower is fully cladded in reflective glass. Designed by Sumet
Jumsai Architects.

Krung
Thai Bank HQ
Two office towers (49
and 36 storeys each) which will become the new headoffices for Krung
Thai Bank. Other
financial institutions have already set up their headoffices in
the vicinity of this site (Rama III road) which is expected to become
Bangkok's new commercial district in the next decades.

Tower
Locate on Wireless
Road. The tower features a large glass atrium and sail shaped
top.
Currently
under construction, the tower is originally
planned office building, now converted into residential
building. It is designed by Kohn
Pedersen Fox in association with Leigh
& Orange (Thailand).

design bears many uncanny resemblance to the Waldorf Astoria in
New York.

mixed use building comprising retail spaces and service apartments.
The five interconnected tower structure contain 600 residential
units. Penthouses
are located at
the top of each tower element.
Mechanical systems are located on only the two tallest towers,
the roof top areas will be used for tennis courts.
