While many HVAC companies are focused on reducing their bottom line and increasing their profits, at Uncle Bob’s Heating & Air, our goal is to keep prices low for everyone. Our team at Uncle Bob’s wants you to feel like family when we enter your home, not a service ticket.
When our technicians arrive at your home, their goal is to provide you with a variety of solutions to whatever issue needs to be solved. Our founder Bob Smith has always believed in putting the needs of the customer first, which is why we are able to offer 24-hour emergency HVAC services for your peace of mind.
Keeping your air conditioning and heating unit working properly is extremely important to the overall health of your home. If your HVAC system stops working properly, our staff of highly trained technicians will work diligently to repair your unit. To provide you with the highest quality care, we are upfront with our pricing. We want you to know exactly what you will pay before we begin a job.

This website was built to display the necessary service information for my Uncle Bob and his HVAC business. The first step I took to create this site, was to research my Uncles business and understand what his vision for the website was. We developed a list of must-have pages which can found in the navigation menu. Once We decided what pages the site needed to have, we collaborated on what he wanted his potential customers to see on the site. Once we created the content of each page, I went back and revised the pages, including all of Uncle Bob's ideas and input. I reviewed the expectations sheet that Bob and I wrote early on to ensure that we got everything on the site he was looking for.
I chose the color options for this site based on my Uncles logo. His logo represents hot and cold, relative to heating and air conditioning. I applied this color scheme throughout the site to maintain a central theme. Typography was kept simple, with minor adjustments to color and size through the use of CSS. The goal was to make the website easy to read and navigate while providing a clean captivating look. I believe we achieved that on this website.
There are several areas this website could improve and grow in respect to the future. If I had more time, I would have written a script to make the contact form operate and send a message to an email address with the contents. I also would have spent more time to create social media pages for Uncle Bob and cross-linked them to each location. Another area where I fell short was in the integration of metadata for search engine optimization. Had I more time, I would have embedded more information for search engines like google to improve organic SEO results. If I were going to build this site again, I would use WordPress. I would be able to incorporate more web applications that would allow for customer scheduling and realtime chat with an agent. Overall, I am pleased with the result, and Uncle Bob is happy. We all know if Uncle Bob isn't happy, what happens :(
