TRAINERS
I am waiting for some more tranquil moments in the Gurney household. Each set of midwives that came when Janey was born all said that we had a very calm and tranquil household and that we gave off a very calming atmosphere and that they felt able to walk around the house or fetch what they needed from the kitchen without even having to ask or to use the toilet. I have been told this when I have been at work and Pete is so laid back I swear he could fall off of the floor.
I agree that we are very blas about many things especially Tim's situation but hang on, they havn't heard me shouting in the streets at ermm other peoples kids and I have a loud opinion for everything when watching the tele or generally ranting within my own home.
Chaos , shopping for three of the chavvies today, one in need of new trainers seeing as she lost her Kappa at school. "Ok, no fashion statements this time please sensible trainers money don't grow on trees and I am not overspending just to please some 'look you all up and down kid' whose mum is on the blinking dole anyway and fiddling it at that'.
Kayleigh turned into new trainers for Amy as well. Two sports shops and they shook their heads at any trainers I suggested or they didn't have the size 8 Kayleigh needs. Two shops and I was raging knowing I don't have much time at all when Janey drops off to sleep and Pete is watching out for her whilst rubbing down some skimmed walls. I am breastfeeding still and she wont have it any other way. I was pretty cross at both girls because it proved to me that it was all about fashion status and that really it was 60 trainers that were wanted, wasted my time and came back to a very miserable Janey.
Out again later with the whole family and trainers for Kayleigh and Amy turned into trainers for Ashley too , caps are in fashion too so they all wanted new ones and got them . So much for putting my foot down and saying NO to fashion this month. Trousers and t shirts starting emerging new socks for school and we went home 300 less in our budget. Me? I was happy with a 2 pink donnay tshirt and 6 trousers( what a bloody bargain) in size large to knock about the house in and which I am in great need of I have next to nothing to accomodate my new size since having Janey (three and half months) so any women out there with size 18 clothes that have just changed to a 12 would you like to swap? :)
THE RAIN CURSE:
Call me mad if you like. We have a beautiful lake around here and lovely countryside streamed pathways so when I can grab the chance for a walk with Janey and anyone else who wishes to join us I do I need the exercise . Everytime and I mean EVERYTIME I start our walk, it rains. Today just took the biscuit it was hot and shiny and beautiful perhaps a tad windy so I thought yep time for that walk. "I aint coming " said Ash it will rain. "Yea , your right you got a rain curse " said his mate Daniel "when we come with you it end's up raining, my mum said she will get you to come do the rain dance instead of getting her hose out hahahahahah cos when I come back and she asks why I didn't take shelter I say I been half way round the lake with Ash and his mum no shelter there". They both started jumping around chanting "Oogga Bogga" as if they were tribal. But they came with me and the grey clouds emerged and were following. We took shelter before we actually got wet under an underpass going to a next estate and it stopped. It was a con to get me back out I tell ya! It pissed down and I got wet right through nipples showing the lot. At least it isnt hail stones.
"Why doe's it always rain on me , Is it because I lied when I was seventeen"
