She slowly turned around saying, �So you finally figured it out.�
�Yeah, it took awhile since my memory wasn�t the same. When I finally saw Daniel again I remembered that you and Marty weren�t that upset when Skip and LaKeisha said Daniel was dead. I put two and two together and realized you were in it together�well Marty at least. I still thought you were dead until I saw you a few minutes ago.�
�Jenai, put the gun down,� Kevin said and she looked and saw the guns pointed at them.
She just ignored him and looked back at her sister saying, �Then I remembered seeing you and Marty exchanging a vile and Daniel telling you it won�t kill you. Ya know, like Romeo and Juliet.�
�It worked,� Brianna said. �I went unnoticed ten years. If you would�ve just left the diamond where it was none of this would�ve happened.�
�I don�t have it,� Jenai said. �You looked everywhere didn�t you?�
�Everywhere,� Brianna stated. �But we didn�t find it.�
�That has to tell you something,� Jenai said. �Even if I did have it I still wouldn�t tell you were it is.�
�Why not?�
�You know how valuable the diamond is. You know what will happen if it falls into the wrong hands. Millions of people are looking for it and millions of people will kill for it. My family�s proof of that.�
�If you just tell us where the diamond is we�ll be out of here.�
�You�re not going anywhere,� Kevin said. �Except for jail.�
�You only wish,� Brianna said.
�You ruined my life,� Jenai began, �you left me get raped and left me for dead. You made me believe for ten years that you were dead and I had to live with not remembering what happened. I suffered because of you, because of all of you and I refuse to suffer any longer.�
�Are you going to kill me?� Brianna asked.
�No she�s not,� Kevin said. �She�s going to put the gun down and let the police handle this.�
�Killing you would be too easy,� Jenai stated. �Although it�ll do justice for Alexis. It�s a shame she had to die because of her best friend�s greed.�
�She died because of you little sister,� Brianna said. �It was your greed that did this. If you just left the diamond alone and left us have it Alexis wouldn�t be dead right now and you wouldn�t have been left for dead. You brought this all on yourself.�
�If you�re trying to get me to admit I have the Heart Diamond it�s not going to work,� Jenai said. �I don�t have it like I keep telling everyone. You�re barking up the wrong tree sister dear. You�re never going to find the diamond so forget it.�
�So you do have it,� Brianna said.
�I never said that,� Jenai replied. �No one�s found it yet and your luck ain�t going to change. It�s hidden away in the deep crevices of earth and hidden for another 800 years.�
�Jenai, I know you have it,� Brianna stated. �Grandmother Stevens had it and now you do.� She smiled. �I saw you take the diamond before you were dropped off. You always thought you were a good smart thief, but I saw you.�
�You saw shit or else you would�ve squealed,� Jenai said. �You didn�t see me take anything.� Jenai smiled this time. �If you wanted the diamond seventeen years ago you would�ve taken it, but you didn�t. If you guys wanted it that bad you wouldn�t have dropped me off. You dropped me off because you didn�t see me take anything. I didn�t take the diamond or any of your precious valuables.� She sighed. �And why you�re harassing me about the $200,000 is beyond me. Marty gave me his $100,000 and he was with me when I gave the $200,000 check to Dr. Claire Phillips for the South Africa Refugee Fund. I was the big donator.� She smiled. �Gram Stevens would�ve been so proud of me.�
�We know that,� Brianna began, �and we know Gram Stevens gave you more.� Jenai shook her head. �I bet you have the money where you have the diamond.�
�You could�ve had $150,000, but you guys forfeited that,� Jenai pointed out. �You and Daniel faked your deaths; Marty gave his to me��
�You gave yours away,� Brianna reminded her.
�Because I didn�t want it,� Jenai said.
�And you were always crazy,� Brianna said. �Smart, but crazy.�
�I could shoot you right now,� Jenai stated.
�But you won�t,� Kevin said. �This is a police matter.�
�And it was my life that was taken from me,� Jenai snapped. �It was my future.�
�And you�ll get your justice,� Kevin assured her. Jenai looked at her brother, as tears went down her face. �Just put the gun down, Jenai. Please.� Jenai just continued looking at him.
�JJ, do what Kevin says,� Nickolas said.
�Why should I?� Jenai questioned. �So he can take the joy out of me killing my sister? She enjoyed watching me suffer so I�ll enjoy watching her die just like I enjoyed watching Davis die.�
�You�re all going to die,� Brianna said. �We have the power.�
�Let her go,� Marty�s voice was heard and they all looked.
�How the hell?� Kevin wanted to know, as his men were held at gunpoint.
�Daniel was smart enough to steal a key,� Marty replied.
�Now lower your weapons or Officer Reed gets it,� LaKeisha warned. �We also want a chopper.�
�Can�t do that,� Kevin said.
�We just want a chopper,� LaKeisha stated.
�And Jenai so she can take us to the diamond,� Skip added.
�There�s no way you�re taking my sister,� Kevin replied.
�She�s not your sister,� Brianna said. �She�s mine.�
�I�m Kevin�s,� Jenai said. �They�re the only family I have.�
�We want the chopper,� LaKeisha said.
�Go to hell,� Jenai said and Brianna knocked her to the ground. She picked up the gun and pulled Jenai to her feet.
�It�s either the chopper or Jenai,� Brianna stated and they looked. �What�s it going to be?�
�Don�t worry about me, Kev,� Jenai said. �Do what you have to do. I�ll understand.�
�I know you will, but I�m not going to risk your life,� Kevin stated.
�So you�ll give us the chopper then,� LaKeisha said. Kevin and Jenai looked at each other. �Either way, Jenai will die, but by giving us the chopper she�ll live a little longer.�
Kevin just continued looking at Jenai and Jakob said, �Sarge.�
�Kevin,� Jenai said and he shook his head. She nodded and he continued shaking his head in protest. �Just do it. I�ll take them to the diamond.�
�That�s a good girl,� Skip said. �Now give us a chopper.�
�Do it, Kev,� Jenai ordered and he just looked at her. �Please.�
Kevin waited a couple minutes and said, �Give them a chopper.�
�Great choice,� LaKeisha said.
�The choppers are about a half mile down the road,� Kevin stated. �You can take one of the trucks to get it.�
�Kevin,� Nickolas objected to the Sergeants choice.
�I know what I�m doing, Detective,� Kevin said.
�Let�s go,� Skip said and Brianna pushed Jenai along.
�Where is this diamond?� Brianna questioned.
�Guatemala,� Jenai lied.
�JJ,� Jakob said.
�Don�t worry about me guys,� Jenai stated. �I�ll be alive for another 2/3 weeks yet�perhaps a month or so. That�s how long it�ll take to get to it.�
�Quiet,� Brianna said.
Jenai looked at Nickolas and mouthed the words, �I love you.�
�Get the hell in there,� Skip said pushing Jenai into the back of the truck.
�Ow!� Jenai said. �Take it easy. Ya need me healthy and alive if ya want the diamond. Ya won�t get it without me. The person that has it has orders to destroy it if I end up dead or anything.�
�You were never a fool, Jenai,� Skip said. �You take after your old man.�
�Whatever,� Jenai said, as he started up the truck and started driving. �Ya do know this diamond is just going to bring you death right?�
�You�re still alive,� LaKeisha said.
�Until you get the diamond,� Jenai stated. �Then it�s off with my head.� She chuckled. �This is like the movies, ya know, except there�s one difference though.�
�What�s that?� Daniel asked.
�The bad guys will never get what they�re after,� Jenai replied and she elbowed Brianna in the face and grabbed her gun. She kicked Marty in the stomach and then kicked him across the face and pushed him into Daniel and Brianna. They went towards the front of the truck and Jenai shot at the fencing. She kicked the back doors open just as the truck started leaning to the side. She jumped out right before it fell to its side and slid in the mud a few feet ahead of her. �Son of a bitch.� She rolled onto her side in pain and looked at the truck.
�Jenai!� Kevin yelled.
She saw Marty climbing out and yelled, �Hey, Marty!� He looked at her. �The diamond�s in Kentucky not Guatemala! It�s been here all along!� She grinned and raised the gun, pointing it at the gas tank.
�JJ, no!� Nickolas yelled as they ran to her just as she pulled the trigger. The bullet impacted the gas tank and the truck exploded. Everyone that was around fell to the ground and Jenai laid there laughing and crying simultaneously.
