�JJ,� Nickolas said and she looked at him through crying eyes. �Are you all right?�
�Am I all right?� Jenai said laughing disgustedly. �I just blew away my whole fucking family and you ask if I�m all right.� She rolled onto her side and cried. Nickolas rubbed her arm and she looked at him. �I got your gun back.� She held it up and Nickolas took it. �I thought�I can�t��
She just cried and Nickolas pulled her up. �C�mere.� He took her in an embrace and Kevin and Jakob walked over.
�How is she?� Kevin asked and Nickolas just looked at him. �Right; stupid question.�
�Yeah,� Nickolas agreed.
�Why don�t you take her inside and we�ll get this cleaned up,� Kevin suggested.
�Alright,� Nickolas said getting up and pulling Jenai to her feet. �C�mon, JJ.�
She didn�t move and looked at Kevin. Kevin looked at her and she said, �I�m sorry.�
�There�s nothing to be sorry about so don�t worry about it,� Kevin said. �You did what you had to do so they wouldn�t get away. I would�ve done the same.�
�Will I go to prison?� Jenai asked and they all looked at her.
�No,� Kevin assured her. �It was self-defense. I�ll make sure you don�t end up in prison.� She just looked at him. �It probably won�t even go to court; all the suspects are dead. Besides, I�m great friends with the D.A.� He grinned, but she stayed serious.� You have nothing to worry about, Jenai.� She wiped her eyes and he hugged her.
�Jenai!� They looked and saw LaKeisha walking from the fire. �Ya have to do better than that!� She raised her arm while walking to them. She pointed the gun at Jenai and shot her. She fell backwards and Nickolas, Kevin, and Jakob pulled out there guns and shot LaKeisha. She fell to the ground and they stood there looking.
�JJ,� Jakob said and they all knelt beside her. She quickly sat up and looked at them. �Are you ok?�
�I�m fine,� Jenai replied. �It just scraped my arm.� They looked at her arm and saw the blood going down.
�But you�re all right?� Kevin wanted to know and she nodded.
�What about her?� Jenai asked looking at LaKeisha.
�Dead,� Jakob answered. Jenai nodded and got up.
�Are they all dead?� Jenai asked.
�We�ll know once the fires out,� Kevin replied and Jenai nodded. �Go back to the cabin and I�ll come and give ya the news.� She just looked at him. �Carter.�
�C�mon, JJ,� Nickolas said taking her arm. �I�ll stay with you.� She sighed and left Nickolas lead the way back to the cabin. They stopped at the tent where Dannika, Summer, Aaron, and Justin were waiting. �Let�s get that arm cleaned up.� She nodded. �I�ll get the First Aid kit.� He went into the tent.
�What happened?� Justin asked.
�Are you all right?� Summer asked.
�Yeah,� Jenai replied. �I just got scraped by a bullet. It�s no big deal.�
�We heard an explosion,� Aaron stated and Nickolas walked from the tent. �What happened?� Jenai looked at them and then at Nickolas and walked away.
�What happened, Nick?� Justin asked.
�The truck flipped over, JJ got out, and she blew it,� Nickolas replied. �She shot the gas tank and stopped the whole thing. But then LaKeisha Stevens arose from her fiery death, shot at JJ, and then we killed her.� He left out a deep breath. �It�s going take some time for her to heal.�
�Yeah,� Dannika said.
�She�s going to need all of us,� Summer stated. �She finds out her whole family is in on this, Brianna�s alive, and she ends up killing them. She needs all the support she can get.�
�Yeah,� Nickolas said walking away and he went into the cabin. He didn�t see her in the parlor and walked to the kitchen. �JJ.� He didn�t see her there either and walked out. He walked back the hall and knocked on her bedroom door. �JJ, you in there?� He heard a door open and looked, as Jenai walked from the bathroom. They looked at each other and she walked over to him. �Is there anything you need?�
�No,� Jenai said opening her door. �Then again I could use some aspirin if ya don�t mind.�
�Gotcha covered,� Nickolas said holding up the First Aid kit. They went into the bedroom and Jenai closed the door. She laid on the bed and Nickolas sat beside her. �Do you want to talk about it?�
�I don�t know what I want, Nick,� Jenai said. �All I know is that I want my life back. I want the life I had before I was raped. I was happy living with Kevin and the Richardson�s. Then I was raped and left for dead and my whole life changed. I was spiraling out of control and no one could help me.�
�It�s all over now,� Nickolas assured her wiping the blood from her arm.
�Yeah, I guess it is.� She looked at him and he gave a little grin. �Thank you for not leaving.�
�It�s my job.� She grinned and watched him bandage her arm. When he was done he put the stuff away and said, �Plus I disobeyed orders and made it personal.� They looked at each other. �I truly meant what I said in that pit. I love you, Jenai.� She sat up and hugged him.
�I love you too.� She tightened her hold on him. �Maybe when this is completely over we can finally go on that date.�
�Yeah; maybe. I�ve only been waiting for a year now.� She gave a slight chuckle. �It was worth the wait though.�
�Yeah it was.�
�I should go and see if Kev needs any help.�
�Don�t go; stay. Please. I don�t want to be alone right now.�
�Alright.�
�Thank you.� She looked at him, as he looked at her and she slowly placed her lips upon his.
