�Sunn, I just�� Bradley began, but Sunshine held up her hand to stop him.
�Just get out. Thank you for your help, but just go.�
�Fine.� He glared at Nickolas and then walked out.
�You�re going to have to come to the station house so we can get your statement,� the officer said. �And do the proper paperwork. We�re going to need to get photos of your bruises.�
�Alright,� Nickolas said.
�Just let me get dressed,� Sunshine said.
�You can meet us outside,� the officer said.
�Thank you.�
The officer nodded and said, �Let�s get him out of here. And let�s question the witness.�
Sunshine and Nickolas watched as the guy was escorted out and Nickolas walked over and shut the door. He looked at Sunshine and said, �I�m sorry I left you alone.�
�What the hell is Bradley�s problem?� Sunshine wanted to know. �He knows how much I love you.�
�Ya want to know what his problem is. It�s because he loves you and wants you for himself. Why the hell do you think he doesn�t have a girlfriend of his own? And why do you think he always wants to be with you?� She looked at him. �He�s in love with you, Sunnie, and I�ll be you he�ll stop at nothing to ruin our marriage.�
�Nothing�s going to ruin our marriage, Nick. I don�t want Bradley. I want you. I love you and he can admire me from afar.�
�He doesn�t need to admire you. Hell, he doesn�t even need to dream about you or look at you.�

�He probably followed us here. He�s probably stalking you or something.� Sunshine just rolled her eyes and got dressed. �Or perhaps you told him we were coming to Germany in hopes he would show up.�
�I haven�t talked to Bradley since before your birthday and it hurts that you would assume I�d tell Brad where I was going to be when I want to spend time with you. Why would I want to ruin our time together?� She put her shirt on and looked at him. �If you want to think that then go right ahead, because I don�t care.� She went to go into the bathroom and Nickolas stopped her.
�I don�t think that. I was just kidding.� He gave a little grin, but she stayed serious and just looked at him. �I�m sorry, Sweets.� He hugged her. �I should�ve been here protecting you and not at the studio.�
�It�s not your fault, Baby.�
�It�s my job to keep you safe and I didn�t do that.�
�I made you go so��
�And I shouldn�t have.�
�Nothing happened, Nick.� She looked at him. �I�m perfectly fine.� She gave a little grin and he touched her red-swollen eye that was already starting to turn black and blue. She gave a little painful moan and pulled Nickolas� hand away.
�Sorry.�
�It could�ve been a lot worse, but it wasn�t.�
�I should�ve been here for you.�
�Don�t worry yourself, Nick, you�re not at fault.� He just looked at her and she kissed him. �I don�t blame you so don�t blame yourself. I love you more now.� He smiled and she kissed him again.
�I don�t think I can love you anymore than I already do.�
�Jerk.� She pinched his sides and he did the same to her. �That�s not allowed.� He started tickling her and she laughed, but stopped just as fast. �Ow! Ow!�
�What�s wrong, Sweets?�
�Nothing; it�s just my ribs.�
�Are you all right?�
�Yeah; I guess it�s just from being slammed into the door.�
�Maybe you should go to the hospital and get them checked out.�
�I�m fine, Nicky. They�re just sore and it�ll go away.�
�I don�t care. I�m taking you to the hospital after we finish with the police. And then you�re coming to the studio with me.�
�Nick, you don�t��
�I don�t want to hear it, Sweets. You�re coming with me whether you want to or not.�
�I can take care of myself.�
�I don�t care, because you�re still coming with.� She just rolled her eyes and went into the bathroom. �I just want to keep you safe, Sunnie.�
�By keeping me with you constantly?�
�If that�s what it takes.� She looked at him and he smiled.
�I do love being with you, but I have to do my own thing.�
�Aren�t you afraid it�ll happen again?� She stopped what she was doing and looked at him. �I�m afraid. What if it happens again and no one�s around to help?�
�Will you stop thinking the worse all the time? It�s driving me nuts and I hate it.�
�Then what do you want me to do then?�
�Calm down and enjoy our time together.� They looked at each other a moment then she went back to brushing her teeth.
�Sunnie, everything is happening so fast lately and this just adds more pressure.�
�What pressure?�
�Everything that�s been going on.� She rinsed her mouth out and walked from the bathroom. �We�re going to be parents and it happened so fast. I thought it�d be a while yet and I�d have more time to prepare, ya know.�
�Ya still got six months. I�m not fully prepared, but I�m preparing myself right now.�
�Well you�re a woman so it�s easier for you.� She looked at him. �I�m being serious.�
�I know you are.� He smiled. �Let�s go so we can get this over with.�
�Alright.� She walked to the door and Nickolas followed. She went to open the door and Nickolas gently took her by the back of the neck. She looked at him and he kissed her. �I love you.�
�I love you, Baby.� He kissed her again and they walked out.
