Sunshine looked at Nickolas as he continued lying on the bed. She sighed and picked up her bag. She started going through it and realized she spent the cash she had on lunch. She looked at Nickolas as there was another knock.
�Carter, I need some money.�
�What for? You got your own.�
�I paid for lunch remember and the guy deserves a tip.� She continued looking at him and he took money from his pocket and laid it on the bed. �You�re a fucking prick.� She picked up the money and walked to the door.
�And why�s that, Sunnie?�
She opened the door and left the guy in.
�Right there�s fine. Thank you.� She handed him the money and he gave a slight nod and walked out.
Sunshine poured herself some wine and picked up one of the dishes. She walked back over to the fireplace and sat down on the floor. She looked at Nickolas a moment and then slowly started to eat. She ate a few minutes then grabbed her bag off the chair. She looked at Nickolas again, who still wasn�t moving and took a bottle out. She took something from the bottle and put it in her mouth. She picked up her glass and took a drink to wash it down. She went to take another drink and Nickolas grabbed the glass from her. She looked at him and he took the bottle from her as well. She jumped up and stood in front of him.
�What the fuck are you doing?�
�You�re not supposed to be drinking this with the medicine you�re on.�
�It�s one drink, Carter. What harm can it do?�
�A lot.� He walked from her and put the glass back on the cart.
�Then why�d the hell did ya get it?�
�I didn�t.�
�Whatever.� She walked over to the cart and picked up the glass. She put the glass to her lips and Nickolas knocked it from her hands making her jump and she felt the broken glass cut her. �Ugh! What the fuck is your problem?�
�You want to know what my problem is, Sunnie?�
�I don�t understand why you have such a problem with Brad.�
�Sunnie, we�ve been over this already. He wants my wife and that presents a problem.�
�But I don�t want him.� She went into the bathroom.
�You have no idea what this does to me. Some other girl ain�t after me.�
She walked from the bathroom. �I have no idea?� She looked at him and took his hand and led him to the door. She opened it and pulled him into the hall. She looked at one end and then looked at the other. She looked at Nickolas and pointed. Nickolas looked and saw Sapphire James. �That bitch will stop at nothing to get you back. She�s everywhere we go and I hate it. She�s obsessed with you and it�s not just a little crush like Brad has on me.� He looked at her. �I put up with her shit everyday. I go get the paper and she�s there. I go get the mail and she�s there. I got outside just to get some fresh air and she�s there yet you have such a big problem with my best friend wanting to know how I am.�
She went inside and Nickolas stood there a second. He sighed and looked as Sapphire looked at him. He shook his head then went back inside and closed the door. He looked at Sunshine and then at the bottle and read the name; Prozac. She was on anti-depressants again and he wasn�t helping any. He was just making it worse for her with his attitude. He sighed and threw the bottle on the floor. He walked over to the bathroom and looked in as Sunshine sat on the toilet. She put a rag on her bloody lip and Nickolas walked over to her. He knelt down in front of her and she just looked at him.
�I�m sorry, Sunnie. I didn�t mean to hurt you.� She didn�t say anything and looked at the rag. �May I see?� She just looked at him and he brought his hand up to her face. She backed up and Nickolas sighed. �I�m not going to hurt you again, Sweets. I didn�t mean it.� She just continued looking at him and left him touch her.
�Ow!�
�Sorry.�
�I think I need stitches.�
�I think so too.� They looked at each other. �I�m so sorry, Sweets. I didn�t mean to do this to you.�
�I know.� She gave a little grin.
�Let�s get you to the doctor.� She nodded and they both got up. Sunshine walked from the bathroom and Nickolas followed her. He stopped and looked at her as she picked up her bag. He saw the bottle of anti-depressants and picked it up. He looked at it and then at his wife. �Sunnie.�
�Hmm?� She looked at him then saw the bottle.
�Why?� She just looked at him and didn�t say anything. �I have to know why.�
She sighed and said, �Can we talk about it later and go to the hospital before I bleed to death.�
�Sunnie, I just��
�Please, Nick.�
�Alright.� He sighed and walked over to her. �Later then.�
�Thank you.� She took the bottle from him and put it in her bag. She went to walk away and Nickolas stopped her.
�I love you.�
�I love you too.� He kissed her. �You got�� She wiped the blood from his bottom lip. �There ya go.� He grinned and she walked from the room. He waited a second then followed.
