�Hello, mommies and pregnant ones,� Sunshine said as she joined the girls at NYPD Pizza for lunch the next day.
�You�re late,� Danielle said.
�I know. You know how it is when you�re in love.�
�It�s wonderful,� Venus said and the girls nodded in agreement.
�Where�s little Alex?�
�With big Alex,� Destiny replied. �He wanted him today.�
�When ya get home ya better check for any tattoos and body piercings.�
�You�re funny,� Destiny said and Sunshine smiled.
�So when are you and Nick having kids?� Venus questioned and Sunshine just shrugged. �Don�t you feel left out?�
�No,� Sunshine replied. �We agreed to wait awhile. We�re in no hurry.�
�Enjoy each other while you can,� Danielle said. �After kids it ain�t the same.�
�No it ain�t,� Destiny agreed.
�It ain�t that bad,� Josephine said. �I�m looking forward to it.� She patted her stomach gently. �One more month.�
�I got five,� Venus said and Sunshine just looked at them. �What�s wrong, Sunn?�
�Nothing,� Sunshine lied.
�Are you feeling ok?� Destiny asked concerned.
�Ye,� Sunshine said annoyed. �Why do you people have to constantly ask?�
�Sorry,� Destiny said. �It�s just that you haven�t been feeling well.�
�I�m fine,� Sunshine lied again.
�You should go to the doc,� Danielle suggested.
�I�m going Monday morning.� They looked at her shocked. �Nicky talked me into it and he called Dr. Martin.�
�Good,� Josephine said and Sunshine shrugged. �You already have bad blood pressure.�
�I�m fine. Doc said it was just from stress and being angry all the time. I�ve been calm since then.�
�I�m glad,� Danielle said.
�Just stop worrying about me, alright?� She looked up. �Look who it is.� She smiled as the girls looked and saw the guys walk over to them.
�There�s mommy,� Alexander said putting his son down and he ran over to Destiny.
�Hey, baby,� Destiny said picking up her son. �Do you have a kiss for mommy?� He shook his head and Sunshine laughed. The boy reached for Sunshine and she took him.
�Do you have a kiss for Aunt Sunnie?� Sunshine asked and he gave her a kiss.
�We know who his favorite is,� Brian said.
�That�s because she gets him everything he wants when she has him,� Destiny stated.
�Whatever,� Sunshine said. �I�m just nice to him and don�t yell at him.
�Neither do I.�
�Well then you ain�t doing something right.� They all laughed.
�Miss Mother-Of-The-Year sitting next to me. How that happened is beyond me. She doesn�t have any kids and probably never will.� Nickolas looked at Destiny then at Sunshine as she kept her concentration on little Alexander.
�So that makes me incapable of knowing how a child feels and what kinds of things they need, is that it?�
�I didn�t say that.�
�Maybe so, but that�s what you made it sound like.�
�I�m sorry.�
�Your children are a year old. Does that make you an expert in child raising all of a sudden?� Nickolas took the boy from his wife.
�Sunnie, calm down,� Danielle pleaded.
�I didn�t say that,� Destiny said.
�Well you�re not an expert,� Sunshine stated. �Maybe when you have five other kids you will be. You only have two and they�re only one. Adrianna is one also, but Dani doesn�t act like she�s an expert.�
�Sunshine, I�m sorry.�
�I may not have any kids of my own, but I�ve been around them my whole life. I just finished a movie where I-I-I had to work with tons of kids. I know wh-wh-what they want and-and-and need.�
�She�s starting to stutter,� Alexander stated.
�So much for her being calm,� Josephine said. �There goes the BP.�
�I hate when people make it sound like I�m incapable of things,� Sunshine rebutted. �I�m not.� Nickolas gave little Alexander to Kevin.
�NO one said you were,� Kevin said.
�B-B-But they make�� Sunshine began and Nickolas kneeled in front of her.
�Sweets, please calm down,� Nickolas requested. �You�re going to make your BP go way up again. I don�t want that.�
�I am calm, Carter. This is me calm.�
�Just take a deep breath. Please.� She just looked at him.
�Just great,� Venus said.
�What?� everyone questioned and she just looked towards the front. They all looked and saw Sapphire James as she sat down and looked at them.
�Don�t start anything,� Nickolas warned Sunshine.
�Then I�ll just sit here and watch her make goo-goo eyes at the whole time,� Sunshine said. �It doesn�t bother me. Even though it is your ex who showed up on our wedding day in hopes of getting you back. Then stole our wedding pictures and altered them to make people believe she married you instead of me. It�s all good, Nick, because I ain�t mad.�
�Sunnie, she doesn�t bother me.�
�That�s not the point. She still want you no matter if you want her or not.�
�I don�t. I love you.�
�But she doesn�t care.�
�And Nick�s with you,� Brian said.
�You guys have no idea how hard this is for me,� Sunshine stated getting up. �No idea at all.� She walked away.
�Sunnie,� Nickolas called after her. �Where ya going?�
�Home,� Sunshine said and they watched her walk out.
�Just great,� Nickolas said. �I�m going to go get her.�
�Alright,� Danielle said as Nickolas walked away and Sapphire followed him.
Nickolas got outside as Sunshine was getting in her truck. �Sunnie.� She looked. �Don�t move.� Sunshine just looked at him as he walked over. �Where ya going?�
�Home,� Sunshine said.
�Where to?�
�The condo. I�ll check the mail and make sure everything�s cool.�
�I�ll join ya.�
�No you go have fun with the guys.�
�But I can�t have fun with them like I have fun with you.� He kissed her and she smiled. �I�m sure they won�t mind.�
�Yeah right. Then they�ll start saying things that ain�t true and��
�But we�ll know the truth and that�s all that matters.�
�Maybe so, but��
�Hi, Nick,� Sapphire said interrupting.
�What do you want Sapphire?� Nickolas questioned but not looking at her. �Can�t you see that you�re interrupting a conversation between me and my wife?�
�I just want to talk,� Sapphire said.
�What�s to talk about?� Sunshine wanted to know. �You stole our wedding pictures, you told the world you married Nick, and you tried to ruin my wedding day.�
�Did you get my letters, Nick?�
�What letters?� Nickolas asked in return.
�The one�s saying I want us to get back together.�
�And the one�s I threw in the garbage after ripping them into little tiny pieces,� Sunshine stated and Nickolas smiled.
�I�m sorry for what I did. I really want us to get back together.�
�I am happily married and totally in love with Sunnie,� Nickolas rebutted. �I wouldn�t go back to you if hell froze over. It�s been over between us for the past ten years. I am married now and don�t want nothing to do with you. Is that so hard to understand?�
�But I still love you. I just��
�No! You have no right coming back into my life after I made it perfectly clear that it was over between us.�
�Nick, please. I just want a second chance.�
�Didn�t you hear him the first time?� Sunshine questioned. �We are married. Sunn and Nick. We�re happy and you ain�t going to change that. Not now and not ever.�
�Just leave, Sapphire,� Nickolas requested.
�You�re not going to give me a second chance,� Sapphire said.
�No,� Sunshine and Nickolas said simultaneously.
�I love you, Nick,� Sapphire said as Sunshine and Nickolas got in the truck and left.
