Danielle looked away from the stars and looked at Kevin. He noticed her gaze on him and he looked at her and asked, �What?�
�Tonight was really romantic,� Danielle stated. �This is the best Valentine�s I ever had.�
�Why�s that?�
�Because I got to spend it with you. One of the most wonderful men that ever came into my life.�
�And you�re a wonderful lady.� They kissed. �Who deserves a present that�s as gorgeous as she is.� Kevin reached in his pocket and pulled out a wrapped box. He handed it to Danielle. �Open it before the night is over.�
Danielle just smiled then unwrapped the box. She discovered a gray box and opened it up. Inside was a pair of diamond earring to the necklace Kevin had gotten her awhile back. She looked at Kevin and smiled. �You�re so amazing. Thank you.� She kissed him. �Sometimes I don�t know what to expect from you.� She kissed him again. �I really love them.�
�I�m glad.�
�I wish I would�ve gotten you something better than the chocolates and shirt. It�s hard to shop for someone who has everything they could possibly want.�
�It was fine. You don�t have to go all out to show someone you care. Just you being here with me right now is good enough for me. Now for Sunshine and Nickolas they thought it was necessary to show each other they care.�
�But we�re not like them.� She stopped to think about what she said. �Well awhile back I was, but that was a lifetime ago.�
�Same here.� They laughed.
�Perhaps we should head back.�
�Are you sure?�
�Yeah; you know how Alex gets.�
�Always suspecting something�s happening between a couple that�s not.�
�Exactly.� They laughed and got up. Danielle put her arm in Kevin�s and they began to walk. She stayed close to him to keep warm. As they walked, she smiled and kissed his cheek.
Kevin looked at Danielle after the kiss. He smiled at her and gave her a kiss. They continued walking in silence and came upon a flower stand. Kevin stopped and said, �What would you like?�
�It doesn�t matter.�
�What kind would you like, sir?� the flower lady asked. �All our roses are on sale since its Valentine�s Day.�
�Then I�ll take a dozen of the pink roses, please,� Kevin replied. �Your prettiest ones.� Kevin and Danielle just smiled at each other, as the lady got the roses. She gave them to Kevin, as he paid her. �Keep the change.�
�Merci,� the lady said and Kevin and Danielle began to walk again.
Kevin handed Danielle the roses and she said, �They�re beautiful.� She smelled them. �But I have a room full of roses.�
�A lady can never have enough roses,� Kevin stated. �Especially the beautiful ones.�
�You�re so kind and sweet.� She kissed him.
�Let�s get home.� Danielle just smiled at him and they continued walking.

Venus and Brian were sitting in the parlor after desert. They were sitting in front of the fireplace drinking some wine talking, laughing, and enjoying the others company like the old times. Some of their feelings for each other were starting to come back, but neither of them really wanted to say anything. They were happier that way and didn�t want to ruin the night.
�Tonight�s been fun, Brian.
�Yes it has.� They smiled. �I didn�t think I�d spend this Valentine�s with my ex-girlfriend.�
�I understand what you�re saying, but I enjoyed it.�
�It was way better than spending it alone.�
Venus smirked and said, �I�ve been thinking about that kiss we shared earlier.�
�So have I.�
�Did it mean anything? Because a part of me wants it too.�
�I�m not sure. At times I do miss what we�ve shared.� Venus smiled. �Since we�ve been here in Paris and you and I have been talking a lot, I have been thinking about what we left slip away.�
�You have? I thought I was the only insane one thinking about an ex, because I�ve been thinking about you.�
�I�m glad to hear that. When I went out earlier I took the opportunity to get you a little something.�
�You didn�t have to.� Brian took a necklace from his shirt pocket and handed it to Venus. She took it from him and looked at it. �Wow! Brian, I don�t know what to say. A heart necklace made of sapphires; my birthstone.�
�You hate it.�
�I love it. Nobody has ever gotten me something like this. Thank you.� She kissed his cheek. �Would you put it on for me?�
�I�d be honored to.�
Venus gave Brian the necklace then turned around. She moved her hair out of the way and he stuck it on her, but kept his hand on her shoulders. Venus took a deep breath and said, �Thank you again, Brian. I�ll take good care of it.�
�You�re welcome.� He removed his hands from her shoulders. Venus turned to face him. �It looks beautiful on you.� Venus looked at him. �That was the wrong thing to say.�
�No it was fine. Thanks. I didn�t get you anything though.�
�Not making me spend the night alone was enough for me. Thank you.�
�Anytime.� She moved closer to Brian and Brian moved closer to her. They looked at each other. They gazed at each other, smiled, and went in for a kiss. They just kissed for a moment and when it was over they just looked at each other. �Does this mean we�re back together?�
�I�m willing to try again if you are.� Venus continued smiling. �I�ll take that�� Before he could finish, Venus kissed him again.
