Match Note: Mysterio wins his 2nd WWE Cruiserweight Championship despite interference from Kyo Dai. After the match, Michael Cole came into the ring to interview RM about his title victory. Before the interview could be completed, The Big Show came down to the ring and interrupted to show off his new t-shirt. Mysterio eventually grabbed the shirt and threw it out to the crowd. An angry Big Show then attacked Rey setting him up for a chokeslam but before he could hit it, Hardcore Holly hit the ring to make the save. Mysterio hit the 619 on Show and then celebrated up the ramp with Holly to end the segment.

January 15th, 2004

Location: Mohegan Sun Arena (Uncasville, Connecticut)
SD! Note: In a #1 Contender's Match, Jamie Noble fought Tajiri to see who would face Rey for the Cruiserweight Championship at the Royal Rumble. RM sat ringside for the match and interfered on behalf of Noble to keep the sides even against Kyo Dai. The match ended when Noble hit a Tiger Driver on Tajiri to score the win and move on to face Mysterio at the Rumble.

January 22nd, 2004

Location: Target Center (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
Match: Rey Mysterio vs Chuck Palumbo
Match Type: Singles
Outcome: Mysterio by pinfall

Match Note: After the match, all 3 members of the FBI attacked Mysterio. Jamie Noble then made his way to the ring and handed Nunzio an envelope full of money to thank him for taking Mysterio out just 3 days before the Royal Rumble.

January 29th, 2004

Match Note: Nidia "accidently" stopped Noble from hitting a move from the top rope and Jamie threw her into the ring and blasted her for it. After the match however, Nidia chucked her sunglasses to the mat showing everyone that she was no longer blind.
