MONEY

Why save money? Well, it helps you keep more money in your pocket, and forces you to buy only the things you really need.

By using your savings to purchase items, you don't have to worry about borrowing money and the associated extra costs involved. Saving also makes emergency purchases easier to finance.

Try to save at least 10% of your pay cheque. This may be hard to do, but in a few months' time, you'll see the benefits!

An interesting concept to consider for you and your parents is the Registered Education Savings Plan or simply known as an RESP. Although there are several rules in effect, you may qualify for up to $400 of free cash annually from the Canadian government.

When saving money, it's a good idea to place your savings in a bank account. But look around, not all banks offer the same fee structure for students.

If you have your own computer, you can earn extra cash from using Get Paid to Use Your Computer Programs. These proven and legal programs will pay you in US dollars for something you are doing right now for nothing. It's easy and free, with cheques arriving to your door!
