Background
I was born in Los Angeles, were I was adopted by my loving parents. I grew up in a small town called Hacienda Heights. Early in life my parents recognized the artistic side of my nature and acted up it. They enrolled me in art and music classes. They also allowed me to join a swim team. This was a critical stage in my life, because swimming has taught me discipline, honesty, and humiliation. I still swim today.

Tesoro High School
Tesoro High School opened in 2001; I was attending as a sophomore. In its infancy I was granted the opportunity to participate in its very first yearbook. With an excellent instructor, Mrs. Sharon Levin, we created a memorable book, through hard work and shear skill; this is where I was introduced to Adobe Photoshop. The next two years saw the introduction of more programs, such as Indesign and Illustrator.

Under a new Instructor, Mrs. Kamie Nuzman, the next two years brought even more challenges. The school was desperately struggling with its computer servers and its networks to establish a viable mainframe. Even when the servers were down for more than a month, we still triumphed over our deadlines.

I was made the official Object Editor. I was in charge of overseeing all picture manipulation and background confirmation, along with my other duties. These included, away games, DPS (double page spread) layouts, graphic design consultant.

Along with my other classes in the areas of Fine Arts, I have received several certificates (Torch of Excellence) of achievements for recognition in the fields of Digital Photography and AP Art.

Saddleback Community College

Although I was only there for one semester, (because of being accepted into Platt College) I learned a lot. Under the instruction of Mr. Bill Riley, I learned the importance of time management, as well as the skills needed to become a successful artist. Proportion, lighting, value, line weight, and the significance of balancing dark and light, were all critical in his teachings.
