A Walk In Your Shoes
I'm writing this poem today to all of you, Who's having a hard time just getting through. I know that words are so easy to say. If you're not the one having a bad day. I've told you before of how I've lived, Of how I've sinned and couldn't forgive. So as I was telling you about my life. I hope I helped to keep you from strife. I pray my poems can help someonne else. To keep you from the mistakes I've made myself. I know it's hard when you're going through pain, And you don't want to hear it over again. But I want you to know that my poems are true. And that I wouldn't lie, not even to you. I'm going to turn fifty-seven years old, And I don't always believe everything I'm told. I want you to know there's no one better than you. For not everyone has walked in your shoes. So of everyone lots of respect we should show. For we are all sinners in Gods eyes I know. I just wanted to tell you what God did for me. So I hope a better person he's helped me to be. But before I'd tell anyone else what to do, I think I'd first take a walk in your shoes.
